Not great for game and chat on xbox

This headset didn't have the ability to separately control game and chat volume on the xbox. If you plan on using this for chat, I'd look for a different headset as the game sounds drowned out anyone talking in the chat

The dongle has to be placed in a high specific area, or the headset will have a annoying and consistent beep. Lastly, To configure and update the headset you need a windows computer MAC will not work.

    Exchanged for Arctis 3 Bluetooth

I really like the concept of the USB-C transmitter, but the headset has too many issues. My biggest complaints are the poor quality mic and the tight fit the of headset. I have a small head, and they are still uncomfortable. I exchanged these for the Arctis 3 Bluetooth, and I'm much happier despite needing to rely more on the wired connection for some devices. Being able to connect to my phone and my gaming device at the same time with the Arctis 3 Bluetooth is pretty sweet.

I’ve had these particular headphones for about 3 years now. I honestly think it’s a great universal headset to use between console and PC. Bluetooth has no lag or delay, the battery life is fairly good. Audio quality isn’t bad either, respectable.

Very dissatisfied with this headset. The microphone does not stay connected, we plan to return it to the store on Monday. This was very frustrating for our son on Christmas!

For the price these sound amazing.

I was very impressed with the sound. You can download the SteelSeries app on your computer to configure you audio settings to your liking. They are super lightweight I forget that I'm wearing them. The ear cups are nice but I don't think they will be right fit for everyone. For my ears they were great and didn't bother me but for other people I can see that maybe their ears will touch the inside and make it uncomfortable. I owned the Astro A50's 4th Gen and they were definitely super comfortable. The sound quality on the A50's was better but not by much compared to these Arctis 1's. The A50's produced surround sound very well. Unfortunately when using Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos I did notice a dip in sound quality :( from the Arctis 1 but games still sound great when using stereo uncompressed. Maybe this can be fixed if you adjust the sound settings specifically for surround sound. The Astros were $300 and these Arctis 1's cost me $87 with a promo code. It was worth making minor sacrifices to get these. For a headset in this price range I think they are worth a shot and hold their own.

I use this headset with my PS4 Pro as well as my Xbox. They work perfectly on both. I love how well the wireless setup works. They are nice and loud (so you can hear conversations more clearly), great fullness and depth to the audio and are incredibly comfortable. They fit well on over my ears and don't overheat at all (after hours of play). On top of that, the mic is amazing! My friends report that I sound better than anyone else when we are playing (and no cutting out like other wireless mics). It feels like Steel Series did an incredible job packing a lot of great features into a $100 headset.
