The connection seemed solid and the sound quality was okay but these were not comfortable at all. Had to return. Your mileage may vary.

First off these are a decent headset. I owned the Arctis 7 for my ps4 pro so this is my second trial at steel Series. All though the 7s were great for competitive gaming the bass was lacking to get emersed in the action and they didn't get loud enough. I was intrigued by the review of the Arctis 1 and everything I read or saw said these were way louder and packed more punchy bass not to mention they would work with just about every device. The sound is definitely the loudest I've ever heard and had to turn it down often. The sound is jumbled and distorted which makes it hard to determine footsteps and awareness. There seems to be too much power going on for the 40mm drivers to handle which is a shame because my complaint about the 7's are better here but poorly built to handle the higher volume. So here's the pros and cons and why you should shop around for better at this price range. Pros: Light weight Plug and play Custom eq through the software Clearest mic and detachable Very loud Cons: Tight clamping force for glasses wearing Cheap build design Muddy, jumbled and distorted sounds Shallow ear cups Needs bigger drivers $100 price is for the multi platform convenience not sound quality. In closing I'm sure it's ok for less experienced gamers who are shopping for younger generations to use. If you're serious about what you're looking for in a wireless option and affordable there are much better options. Too bad sony couldn't get together with these guys and take the best of the ps gold and combine the Arctis 1 mic together to create the perfect $100 headset.

Note: I haven't used these for voice chat, only as headphones. There's not much to say other than these are great and a step up from TV sound. I use these headphones when using my Switch in docked mode (because who needs to be wireless when you're holding the system a foot from your face?) and they're great. Setup is incredibly easy with you just needing to connect the USB-C dongle to the dock with the included adapter. That's it. One annoying thing is that you have to physically disconnect the USB-C dongle for the Switch to output any sound to the TV (there's no internal option in the Switch to do this.).
