I bought these to try and replace my old G930s. The battery life and range on the Arctis 7 headphones are amazing. The sound quality is good after some extensive equalizer adjustment, but there was a muffled muddiness that I just couldn't shake. The headband was a cool concept, and fit my wife's head comfortably, but i apparently have a larger than average dome because I found that they hurt the top of my head after a couple hours of use. This could be easily fixed with some padding. All in all if you're looking for a above average set, these might be just what you're looking for, but for me I just found the g930s to be more enjoyable.

I love the sound of these and even though they say on ear they are indeed over ear closed. I have only tried them with the ps4 pro and the pc but the have been flawless so far. They are very comfortable .

    Not good for ps4

Feels nice on your head and has great sound but not great on ps4 because there is no adjustment for chat and game sound. Sure there is a slide switch that is meant to do it but nothing happens when you slide it. I'm sure it works great on a pc but no luck on the ps4. Another issue is when you plug the transponder into your ps4 so you can use the headset it stops any sound to anything else. As in you decide to stop using the headset and want to listen to a movie with friends on the ps4. You have to unplug the transponder each time.

I was looking for a wireless headset to replace my Sony Gold Headset (old version). Tried the Logitech G933, Corsair Void Pro Wireless and Arctis 7. The G933s got uncomfortable, and creaked in a way when using that made me feel like the plastic joints were going to break. I liked the G buttons, but the mic wasn't great. The Void Pros were great, and the most comfortable of all 3. However, the Arctis 7 had a better mic, slightly better sound, and the chatmix controls are a great feature. I was not really happy with the 7.1 surround in any of these headsets. They worked, but a number of games just sounded bad in that mode.

Great headphones. The fit is comfortable and good sound. When pairing with my rig, had to first use the USB cable so an update could be applied. Then they connected via bluetooth no problem.

PROS: -Great sound quality for gaming (after proper EQ with 3rd party app) -I was easily able to distinguish where my enemies footsteps and gunshots were coming from in games like Overwatch, Battlefield and Counter-strike -Wireless distance is great with no cutouts -Acceptable mic quality for gaming chat -Retractable mic -Looks less gamer'ish than other headsets if you need to wear them away from home -Very versatile. Can be used with PS4, Xbox and mobile devices -On headset controls for Mic mute, volume and chat/audio balance -7.1 surround sound -Great battery life CONS: -Sound was very boring at first, even after using the limited EQ adjustments within the Steel Series software. I did a little research online and found that it sounds much better after downloading a 3rd party app for Windows 10, allowing me to make more detailed EQ adjustments. -Sounds great for movies and games, but falls short for music listening. -This is more of a personal preference than a con, but I don't care for the emulated surround because I feel you lose some audio clarity and it can sound very tinny. Sometimes it makes positional audio more difficult to pinpoint enemies and gunshots when playing competitively. OVERALL: The Steel Series Arctis 7 is an extremely well rounded wireless gaming headset considering its price, feature set and audio performance. It's not the best headset I've listened to, but it still sounds great for games and movies. The less gamer like design is a huge plus for me simply because I can take it with me away from home and it won't look completely ridiculous. I recommend these to anyone looking for a great wireless gaming headset around the $150 range. If you have a larger budget and you're willing to spend a fair bit more for better audio quality and features, then you should take a look at the Astro A50 Headset.

There headphone are terrific. They sound great and are pretty comfortable. The reason for a 4 star is because it doesn’t ajust to fit my head that well.

Not much bad to say about these, no lag, rock solid connection, comfortable... My two small small gripes with this, is that the USB adapter doesnt actually work with anything other than a PC as far as I can tell, even though it says it works for PS and I thought it worked with xbox 1 (where I can get other usb headphones to work), The other gripe is that the dials are on the back of the earcups and easy to move, so if you lean back on a chouch or high backed chair, you'll likely accidentally turn everything all the way down or up.

This headset is a great mid budget gaming jeadset that I would highly recommend to anyone who wants an advatage on the enemy without breaking the bank. The Arctis 7 is really siple to set up on pc and even easier for console, it's basically plug and play. This headset offers great crisp sound and a throaty bass. The on ear volume control and chat mixer take a bit to get used to and the charging cable is a bit of a pain but overall the ear cup design is great. My only gripe about the design is the headband, it feels weird at first but is very comfortable. My only other gripe is that it is not wireless for Xbox one but other than that, this headset is amazing.

These are by far my favorite pair of gaming* head phones. I have owned 12 different sets of head phones all $100+ including every top brand. From Sennheiser and Bose to gaming headphones from Logitech, Razer, Corsair, etc etc. These without any doubt take the cake. My ears easily become sore from wearing certain head phones for even short periods of time but, I can wear these head phones for hours (and I have) as an extremely hardcore gamer. There is nothing out there, in my opinion, that is even close to these head phones in ANY price range. However, if you're looking for purely music or studio headphones (not gaming), I would try Sennheiser.

Whether I’m just sitting in bed on my phone, running an overnight gaming marathon, or just walking around the house talking on the phone, this headset is perfect. I’ve owned it since Best Buy first launched started selling it and it has easily been the greatest headset I’ve ever owned. I’ve owned razed krakens 7.1 , razer tiamats 7.1, hyper fury clouds, countless turtle beaches, and none have come close to comfortability, quality, and most of all convenience. These headsets have quite literally set my bar of expectations when it comes to gaming headsets.

Probably one of the best consumer gaming headsets I have tried. Allows you to adjust and prioritize voice vs game sound over another... oh, and it's wireless.
