I have owned so many headphones, it is not even funny. My previous favorite were the Astro A40s - but I never cared for the amount of wires and the quality of the mic. I ended up returning these due to awful PC software and a headphone hiss that occured 100% of the time when no sound played. 3 pairs did that and I found it was a known issue of the included mixamp. Anyways, I got the arctis 7 for $100 on sale and they are very worth it. The wireless is so nice to have. I can walk all around my apartment and communicate with no issue. The mic quality is better than the A40s. The sound quality is VERY good for even $150, especially for them being wireless. I will admit the Astros sounded better, but not enough to justify +$100. These are the most comfortable headphones I have ever owned hands down. They do not get hot either. Battery life so far is 10-12 hours+. You can play with them plugged in to charge if needed, and the included cable is a good length if you are within ~2.5-3 feet of a port. I connected my speakers to the line out jack of the included receiver. When I turn off my headphones it automatically switches to speakers and vice versa. This also changes while in games (you pc gamers know you usually have to restart a game when changing an audio source). Not the case with these which is a MASSIVE plus for me. I love how you can save different sound profiles. I have one setup for the headphones and one for the speakers with different EQ settings. They also have live side mic sound so you can hear yourself while you talk if you want. Very nice to have since they are closed ear. Overall I would seriously recommend these over any headphones I have tried. The price is very good for the quality. I paid the $20 for the geek squad plan just in case so if they break I can just go to the store and swap them for the same or comparable set on the spot. TL;DR Pros: +wireless +comfort +mic and sound quality +battery life +game/chat volume rocker on headphones (incredible for balancing game sound and discord or other chat programs without messing with any settings. I can play Squad and adjust on the fly with no interruption.) +connections on receiver +COMFORT!! +works great on PC and PS4 (don't have xbox) Cons: -it is very easy to accidentally hit the volume wheel on the left when taking off/on. It is also easy to hit the game/chat wheel on the right cup. These are easily adjusted though so it isn't that big of a deal. But it does require me to adjust it most of the time when I remove them. I am sure eventually I will get used to it and wont hit them. -the dolby digital feature is kinda meh honestly. I always have it turned off because it sounds much better and I can hear things like footsteps much more accurately with it off. Don't buy them for this feature - you will be very disappointed.

These headphones are great for a casual gamer or someone that prefers using headphones while streaming content. However, after extended usage, I had to switch to Astro A40 Mixamp Pro. In my case, I wanted wireless headphones, but the Astro were just far superior. Now, the Arctis 7 did perform splendidly during group chats, with other individuals commenting that the quality of the voice was crystal clear. Based on that, if someone wants a cheaper option than Astro A40, then by all means, I'd recommend the Arctis 7. Just keep in mind, the headphones will die after 15 hours of usage - I did not test this out (stated in the User Manual).

This headset is awesome for my grandson's game fun

Awesome product, had my last pair for a few years.

When it came to using it with my PlayStation the Audio was really low, and so was my microphone audio. Probably better off for PC as you download software to manage them.
