Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the Arctis GameBuds' sound quality, comfortable fit, and impressive battery life. The earbuds are also appreciated for their portability. However, some users have reported connectivity issues and have found the active noise cancellation to be subpar. Additionally, a few users have noted that the bass could be improved and the volume may be low during online use.

Perfect for what we needed. The mic isnt the greatest, but not a deal breaker. It's less obnoxious than the huge gaming headsets and can be used out and about too.

The first pair BB shipped me the right ear didn't work. So i talked to customer service which is great and they returned them for another pair. Needless to say these work and customer service was great and the return process wasn't hard. Thanks to BB

The sound quality is mediocre, and the firmware has been buggy for me, producing noises when ANC is activated, which makes the feature unusable. Otherwise, it’s an interesting concept and a decent starting point for such products, but it’s not fully polished yet.

I've had them for a little over a month now and the left earbud stopped working. Besides that these are good. I've done a reset and checked the connection.

I was skeptical about buying this due to the hot and cold reviews. I pulled the trigger and I don’t regret it at all. I bought them as an alternative and they became my primary.

Barely functions and loses connections all the time across multiple devices tested. Plug it behind your PC? Is there a desk in the way? Connection problems. Trying to use it on your phone? Randomly disconnects from your phone even if it's just in your pocket on bluetooth mode. The connectivity is so bad, that whenever it disconnects from my PC for example, I have to physically go behind my PC so there's a "clear" signal from the airbuds to the receiver dongle.

These are not ready for mainstream. Serious lack on SteelSeries part to make these usable. Cons: - When used in Bluetooth mode, they are a choppy static mess, which you can't make out anything going on. - Getting these to actually work in Wireless mode. - After you get them working in wireless mode, then turn them off, then back on, all wireless mode settings are gone. - The separate earbuds do not sync. Sometimes just one will start playing. - The "Sonar" software from SteelSeries GG, is very buggy, it attempts to make virtual audio devices to separate out the different streams. Which can be great, if/when it works. Pros: If you can ever get them to work right in wireless mode, they are amazing. However the moment you take them off, good luck getting them back in wireless mode I wanted some ear buds for my PC, but these apparently are not them, I had high hopes as Steelseries generally knows what they are doing with audio devices.

Don't be fooled by the hype: these are terribly annoying and disrespectful of your rights over your own body. You can't disable the auto-power off, and that is NOT OK FOR EARBUDS. It's not ok at all to ignore user settings and considering the Nova 7's have the same problem, and have for <3 years... Don't count on Steelseries fixing it. Steelseries is using the same annoying power settings for these earbuds that they do for the headsets: they shut off after 10 minutes of silence by default, and they reset to that default every time you turn them on. You must launch the Steelseries GG app, and open the settings EVERY TIME YOU TURN THEM ON. I'm seriously considering calling them defective. They will turn off while you are dictating. Also, you cannot disable or even remap the button controls. Holding them down for 2 seconds turns them off, and yes, it does wake you up in the process. Forget about sleeping with them -- which they _should_ work great for.... but the buttons ruin that. The lack of control over the controls, intentional ignorance of user power settings, and history of ignoring user feedback make these a HARD PASS, unless Steelseries starts spending more on developers, and less on shills. Sony Inzone Buds are better. JBL Quantum TWS (from 2022) are WAY better. Heck, even my TOZO NC9's -- which are budget and bluetooth, are more convenient in game mode.

They worked fine at the beginning but i heard of lot of complaints from my friends wrt mic not being audible. And from there the experience kept getting worse. After couple months, the 2.4hz connection has just been a nightmare. I have to re-plug the dongle every time for the earbuds to get connected to my PC. And now, the left earbud stopped working all together. Do not waste your money on this product

My New Defacto Gaming Audio Experience

I really was not expecting to like gaming earbuds. I assumed that they wouldn’t have great separation, that audio quality would be worse, and that no one would be able to hear me online. I was wrong, the SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds are some of the best gaming headphones I’ve ever used including over the ear headsets. I’m in love with these and I’ve already convinced a friend to buy a pair too. You should too! Where to even start with all the things I like about these. First and foremost, audio across the board is great. Playing COD Black Ops 6 multiplayer, I had clear separation and was able to effectively listen for enemies. Playing Lethal Company with friends, I was regularly complimented on how good my mic sounded. And the noise cancelling effectively helped drown out all the random noises going on in my house. Battery life is great, I went through several long rounds of gaming without running out of juice and whenever I was done I just put the earbuds back in the case and set the case on my wireless charging pad, always ready to go. I found both the bluetooth and especially the 2.4g wireless to function beautifully. My entertainment cabinet is thick so sometimes 2.4g signals struggle to reach me on the couch and I have to leave a cabinet door open. Not here, the door was fully closed and I had no issues. I really can’t say enough about how much I love these earbuds. My one downside is that you have to plug in the headphones/case into a computer and download SteelSeries’ software, in order to update the firmware. The phone app simply says, download the app on your computer to update your firmware. That is a minor quibble though, the headphone are my new go-tos. And they should be yours too! Pros: Excellent audio quality Microphone rivals a full headset with boom mic Great noise cancelling Great battery life Handy case Strong 2.4g signal Comfortable Useful case Wireless charging Cons: Updating the firmware is a pain
