Misplaced as it turns out. The features of this set are really cool and the instant connection to the computer is great. They're also reasonably comfortable even if they don't offer the adjustment the other pair I had did. But the sound quality... oof, man, it's bad. Not just for a fairly pricey headset, but bad period. Definitely do not listen to music with these. You get better sound quality with a super budget set of headphones or earbuds at a fraction the price.

Solid sound on some settings out of the box but the steel series software was a nightmare to use. With a lot of tweaking you could some nice stuff but the balance was all off. My particular model cut in and out and was not interested in trying a new unit.

Mic barely works, software is horrible and requires endless troubleshooting, and the stock ear pads are incredibly uncomfortable. This is a waste of money and I would urge you to not buy in to all the high praise. You can buy a much better non-gaming headset wireless or wired and simply add on a stand alone gaming mic/mod-mic and your experience will be MUCH better and CHEAPER. Working Software, Good Sound Quality, and a decent Mic are the minimum I expect for $160+ and they can't even manage that.
