||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.genuinely disappointed in SS for this one, there's no bass. none. i messed with the EQ and followed a lot of instruction from online, i simply cannot get any thump out of this. i have an older pair of the Arctis 7+'s and those have not real thumpy bass but it's at least enough to not ruin music

However, the mic suffers from terrible issues that make it unusable. The mic will constantly make the faintest noise 100% of the time making it seem like to your teammates that you are talking all of the time. In Destiny 2, this was extremely annoying and unfixable. If you Google it, it is a common issue on PC and Xbox and there is no fix in sight. Trust me, I tried every possible setting but as you will find hundreds of people on Reddit saying the same thing, it is not fixable from a user end. SteelSeries needs to fix this because $350 for a mic that isn't usable isn't acceptable. DO NOT BUY THIS. Reviewers miss this because they don't actually use the headset to play team games that require group chat. They simply test the mic quality and move on.
