One of the Best
|Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Incredibly great sound, comfortable, and look. The headset does sometimes have some software issues with the desktop app, but updates usually fix it. the swappable batteries alone justify this headset.

Amazing headphones
|Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are truly wireless. The only time i have had to plug them in was during the setup for firmware updates. Hot swappable batteries give tou constant wireless connectivity. The range of the wireless is really good. They sound great. Have good noise cancelling and transparency mode. Dual connectivity. All round an amazing headset.

Overall I recommend
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good sound quality but needs tuning if you like higher bass. On PC you can easily change it. PS 5 works pretty well and battery life is awesome. Overall I recommend but you can find cheaper headsets same sound level.

Best Headset I Have Ever Used
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headphone set has been a pleasure to use. It blows similarly priced headsets from Corsair and Logitech. I use all of its features, including it's seamless ability to use on your phone. Also, I use the mixer that comes with it, which is incredibly easy to use, with no bloat! Do yourself a favor and get this headset. You will not regret it. The only thing working against this set is that its microphone is just barely below the quality of the Corsair Virtuosos. But the headache of dealing with of the Corsair software was enough to never buy anything from them again. The other slightly negative thing about this set is that the charging port for direct charging of the battery is placed at a weird angle, but this is not an issue if you are are always using the base station. In conclusion, buy this headset. You'll be happy you did. I am.

Incredible Headset, with few Cons.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My previous Headset is the WH-1000XM4 from Sony. Comparing both, here is my review. Pros: -The level of control you have with the Controller is amazing. -SteelSeries Sonar makes this extremely customizable on how you want your sound to sound. -Mic is very good, very clear. -Easy plug and ready to use. -Extra battery AND swappable, THIS is amazing. -Comes with 2 very long USB-C cables. -Each face of the headset is removable to reveal the battery or USB-C plug on either side. Cons: -The noise cancelling can be better, but it is still really good. -The setup (In the Sonar Equalizer) to get it to sound the same as my old one was time consuming. -The ear covers are too small, and round? Ears are not round. I'd appreciate ovals and slightly bigger than they are. -Can't press them too close to your ears because there is a piece of plastic protruding that will tap your ears. -Turning on the Spatial Sound in Sonar made the sound a little echoy, this didn't happen on my previous headset. -Can't toggle the Side Tone (Ignore Noise Cancelling) on the headset itself, it has to be done through the PC or the Controller Overall Impressions: This is an incredible headset, very close to my favorite, the WH-1000XM4, I am switching to this only because of the level of control and ease of usability. If they improve their Noise Cancelling and Comfort on each ear, I believe this will be the best headset there is for gaming. I will definitely be looking forward to the next iteration.

Astro A50 to Steel Series Arctis Nova Pro
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using the Astro A50 for years and have been fairly happy with them, this time I decided to try something new. For anyone else in a similar situation or comparison shopping between brands. I've found that the Astro A50's are simpler to work with, you plug them in and you're done; you don't have to install the Command Center to even really use the headset and they work well out of the box. Moving onto the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro, these things are fairly beastly in design with the largest benefit bringing me over to these are the replaceable battery and charging dock. With no longer having to worry myself with actually charging the headphones on a cable. Some things that make this product more challenging to work with is; in order to consume a majority of the devices functionality you must install the software; there is a huge dependency on the software installation and configuration. This dependency on the software turns into the software creating bunch of virtual input & output devices that get translated by the DAC\Transmitter to the headphones. Because of this software dependency, I have had many problems with the device configuration getting all screwed up just by unplugging the USB cable on the DAC and plugging it back in again, all of the virtual devices lose their connectivity forcing me to have to do a hard removal of software and hardware devices to allow the software to re-add and reconfigure the virtual output/input devices again, and the configuration cannot currently be exported or backed up so everything that I customize has to be reconfigured all over again. The features that this offers has me staying with the product for now as I really love the charging base and replaceable battery; otherwise for the simplicity offered by the functionality of the Astro A50's... if they ever come out with a similar charging station and replaceable battery to eliminate an actual connection or plug requirement ... I would be going back to them.

Arctic Pro wireless with MORE features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve owned a pair of the Steel Series Arctic Pro Wireless for about 4 years now and those were by far the best gaming headset I’ve ever owned. The build quality is amazing and overall sound and experience is great. And I love the fact that the design doesn’t look very “gamer” compared to other gaming headsets on the market. But as time went on and new features started to hit the market in other headsets I found them to start feeling outdated. These new Arctic Nova Pro hit all those issues by adding multi system device which is awesome since I swap from gaming on console and PC. The design is very sleek and modern without looking like a gaming headset like other brands do. They’ve also added better sound quality with spatial audio and active noise canceling. Another thing I loved about the Arctic Pro wireless was the swappable batteries so I can never stop gaming or worry about my headset dying mid game. And the Novas are no different but now they doubled the battery life to 40 hours (20 hours per battery) which is now on par was some of the other headsets out there. This is gonna easily be my headset for the next 4+ years. My arctis pro wireless are still going strong but I couldn’t pass up these new features. They are pricey but I think the build and sound quality justify the price and you know for sure they’re gonna last a long time and defined get your money’s worth. 10/10 would recommend if you have the budget for it.

Sound great, lacking in audio mixability
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They sound great, work great, mic works well and it's clear. Their software is a must to get it dialed in to your sound taste. I was a bit disappointed with the fact you cannot mix audio from both USB inputs. I am coming from a wired MixAmp Pro setup (highly suggest for mixed audio) for my work and home computers. This only allows connection to one of the computers at a time efficiently. The fix is to, A wire or with aux cords (which don't work great due to ground loop feedback), B run it through the MixAmp (what I'm doing), or C just live with having to manually select one input at a time. Also unfortunate the settings don't fully sync with the base, like the MixAmp pro does. Meaning, if it's on the work laptop, the mic EQ and other settings don't carry over (since work has it locked down to not install their software).

Solid performer, minor complaints.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lots of things to love about this headset; lighter than previous Arctis series, less squeaks and creaks, good sound and mic. Ergonomics are also decent. A few things hold it back from a 5 star rating for me. Firstly, the software is tough to get the hang of if you’re not well versed in sound config. This headset needs adjustments for most people, so if you’re looking for an “out of the box” solution, perhaps think twice on the artctis nova series headsets. That being said though, if you’re willing to put some tinkering time in, it should be well worth the effort and customization. Secondly, the dac will eventually burn the screen in. There is currently (as of 03/24), no way to turn the screen on the DAC off, so it will eventually burn in over time. This is definitely a bummer, considering that this functionality existed with the previous generation artcis pro wireless headsets. Those things aside, this headset is great, and still wasn’t a deal breaker for me.

Best wireless headset on the market
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What an amazing headset. It comfortable when wearing, even hours into a game. The sound quality is the best of any headset ive owned, it beats astro A50, the Astro A40 trs, and the corsair virtuoso's by a landfall. I like the hot swap batteries, as i never have to use a wire. The set up was easy and smooth. Steel series has won me over

Great for people who mess with audio settings
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you like to mess around with your audio to get the perfect sound then this is a great choice. If you want to just buy and use out of the box its okay but theres better out of the box choices. Battery lasts about 2 to 3 days for me on heavy use. Being able to switch to bluetooth on my phone is a nice addon. The Steele Series GG app needs improvement. I'd also reccomend changing the ear cuffs as the stock ones get hot, easy to swap out

Very high quality headset compared to the Arctis 9
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced my Arctis 9 headset with these and I am very happy with my purchase. The sound quality is great, they’re lightweight and comfortable. The noticeable difference in footsteps is so crazy. The one negative thing I have noticed is that the ear cups are rather shallow. I believe it is due to the noise cancelling components. So if you buy these I recommend looking into aftermarket ear cups. Other than that, this was a great purchase for me.

Worth the money
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the most expensive gaming headset I have ever purchased. However, it’s worth every cent. The issue with cheaper headsets is that, while the microphone quality is usually good, the quality of the sound is very basic, which decreases the level of immersion into the game. This headset, while not quite on par with AirPod pro max in terms of sound quality, has a very good sound quality for a gaming headset. There is some oomph to the bass. This headset wirelessly connects to a usb to computer base station. This base station allows the user to charge one of the headset batteries (the package comes with two) while you are using the other. This base station also allows you to connect to two separate systems (like a PC and a PS5) where you switch the input with a couple button presses on the base station. This is convenient in that you don’t have to change your cable hook ups when you want to play on one versus the other. The biggest convenience, which is not unique to this specific headset is that, while you can use it with Bluetooth, connecting to the base station is done over 2.4 GHz band. This gives much more bandwidth than Bluetooth. When using a Bluetooth headset in a Discord voice channel, and playing a game, the quality of the game sound is very degraded because of the low bandwidth. That problem doesn’t occur with 2.4 ghz. Finally, this headset can often be found on sale, so keep an eye out.
