This was a great purchase for my brothers and I, the last pair I bought lasted me 3 years. The only problems I really had a somewhat frequent issue with is that the points on the battery would currode slightly and the heaphones and charger would read it at either 100% charged, or 0% charged.

So much better than the last version. The noise canceling is amazing and it’s much more comfortable. I hate that they changed the batteries though. So if you are going from the old model to the new one and bought extra batteries, sadly they are no longer useful.

Bottom line, these are STILL the absolute best wireless gaming headset. Their new Sonar software can make your mic sound like a blue yeti. The only downside I have is the controls location and buttons seem like a downgrade, and the mic sidetone is very quiet. Other than those small gripes, I can confidently say this will last you a minimum of 3-4 years. The previous model I had was still incredible and working great.

This headset is excellent for gaming. The 3D spatial audio is excellent. You will hear footsteps on COD and be ready. I gave it 4/5 due to 2 things: active noise cancellation is not as good as it shoud, and the price is pretty expensive for the headache it causes (not very comfy like Bose QC45 media headset). I wish if they would make it lighter in weight so it won’t cause headache

I really tried to like these and gave them plenty of use time before deciding to return them for something else that is sold at this store that turned out to be so much better. Audio quality (My only reason for return): The best way to describe the audio quality on these is that these produce sound as if it's coming through a doorway on each side of your head. It's narrow. It does NOT produce a wide soundstage around you, no matter how much I messed with the EQ on these; it always sounded under-bass and over treble to the point that it actually hurt my ear-drums. The audio quality itself is great and clear, but there is absolutely no immersion or soundstage. EQ could not remedy this problem no matter how I tried to EQ it. It just sounds too narrow and underpowered, which is what I suspect can be attributed to the 40mm drivers when most competition now uses 50mm+. I'd say these would be better more music listening than for immersive gaming. The earcups are too shallow/small to be comfortable for me. My ears would hit the inside hard plastic no matter what placement I had. This is a minor issue. The build quality is great, I really liked how solid these felt. Overall, for gaming, I don't recommend these. Try them, try others, you'll hear what I'm talking about. (compared to turtle beach or razer)

Everything about this headset is fantastic other than 1 major flaw that I got in 2 different units. The swappable batteries will not charge in the charging station. They just get pushed out after a couple minutes. I love everything about this headset other than this flaw. It's the most comfortable and best sounding headset I've ever used so it's unfortunate one of the main selling points is unusable

Very easy to setup and get working, audio quality is very nice. I love that i can have two audio sources going at the same time as well. They fit my head well too which is a big plus, most headsets fit big on me. I think if i was hard pressed to say anything negative about them is that the ear cups themselves are a little small but thats about it.

Its a solid headset able to utilize 20+ hours of battery life within a single battery, in total there is over 40 hours of battery life. The headset is capable of a range in excess of 60 feet, through walls and keep its crisp connection.

Great headset if you're looking to get the best of the best. Dual connectivity is amazing, as well as Bluetooth and WiFi connections. The DOC is also great, very simple and straightforward and has many options. Only downside is the DOC doesn't go to sleep, it's always on if it's plugged in.

I ended up returning these for the younger brother version, the Nova 7s. I couldnt justify the additional $200 for some very sub-par (and later defective in my case) noise cancelling and the audio deck. The hot swappable batteries is awesome i will admit. However, the batteries would not fit snug into the housing at all. It felt like it was designed for an entirely different battery. Audio was mediocre, its pretty ok in gaming but for music its very flat and dull. EQ helps a bit, but you can only get so far with these headphones. The microphone quality is…. Well.. still typical steelseries mic quality we’ll say. Overall i have to say i was underwhelmed considering the constant glowing reviews. The price point is just too high for me to personally justify. Most of the features i wanted were present in the 7s, so the downgrade made way more sense to me.
