    SteelSeries has abysmal customer support. I had a well cared-for, working headset. They pushed a "critical" firmware update to my headset that "successfully" applied with no issue during the process. However, the headset will no longer power on. Support gave me the third degree in reporting this issue. First, they asked a bunch of irrelevant questions and provided troubleshooting steps that had no relevance to the issue. Then they required me to make and post a video demonstrating that the headset would not power on with either battery (nor will it power on with a USB cable). Then, they suggested a warranty replacement provided that I would snap multiple pictures of the device from all angles and supply multiple proofs of purchase. Then, after all the hoops I jump through, to get service on an issue that they caused remotely bricking my device with a firmware update, tell me that my device, under two years old, is out of warranty and there's nothing they will do to help. So, just know what you are buying here. You're licensing hardware that you will not own, with software that will nag and annoy you endlessly with useless feature bloat, that will constantly steal itself as the primary sound device on your system, regardless of your settings, that they can remotely detonate at any time into a useless product. For $350, this is an absolute disgraceful service, and they see no duty or obligation to fix their own mistakes. I highly suggest you avoid SteelSeries products if you value quality, professionalism, and service.
