I bought these headphones because my previous SteelSeries headphones were trying to reshape my ear into an impression of my hearing aid and glasses, and a review I read said the Arctis Nova Pro had super comfortable cushions. They are the most comfortable headphones I have ever owned. The cushions are extremely soft, and my head doesn't feel squeezed in a vice. I regularly wear them for hours at a time. The sound quality is superb. If the game has spatial sound, I can hear critters sneaking up on me even better than with my previous SteelSeries headphones. These are worth the upgrade. If you haven't had surround sound headphones before, you might be disappointed in the sound on a Windows PC because Windows does not include any support for it. Look in the Microsoft store for "Dolby Access". It's worth the money because when you turn on "Spatial Sound" and use "Dolby Atmos for headphones" you will get beautiful simulated surround sound. It's almost as good as the LG 9.1.5 soundbar on my TV. The only negative is the software SteelSeries wants you to install. It works well, but it kept nagging me to use features I don't need to the point where it felt like it was sending information about what I was doing with my computer back to the company. It also popped up an ad for another model of their headphones only 2 weeks after I had bought a pair. I ended up uninstalling the app, and I lost count of all the things it removed at 30. Rough guess it was around 50 little executables that were running in the background on my computer. That's just too much for my taste. YMMV

I LOVE THIS HEADSET! I was a hardcore ASTRO A40 TR user for many years but grew tired of the cords and had already had a bad experience with the A50s. After doing some research I stumbled upon these and loved the idea of swappable batteries and immediately bought them. They are so comfortable, great sound quality with Dolby atmos and have essentially unlimited battery life since I can hotswap batteries within seconds even with the headset still on my head. Great buy and don't know if I'll ever go back to Astros after these ones!

This is an excellent headset with great sound, comfort, and features. One of my favorite things about this is the chat/game mixer that lets you adjust the sound of a game while reducing the sound of chat programs. Great when gaming and chatting in Discord. It's great having 2 batteries as well with one always beingnready to go fro, being charged in the deck. I gave it 4 stars because the Steel Series Sonar program that controls everything will sometimes bug out and the mixer feature won't work. You have to disconnect the usb c cable from the badk of the control deck and plug it back in to clear up issues.

These are by far the best steelseries headphones I have owned. Now that being said I have owned over 10 pairs of headphones I'm very picky with my audio. These are a great gaming headset. They are not however a hi-fi headset as implied in the marketing. That doesn't mean they aren't good. Pros. Good audio for gaming casual listening Light weight Extremely comfortable Good range Best software in the business. Cons Not hi-fi in the wireless version only 48kz and it can only go to 16khz when you use the sonar software. ( Which is arguably the best reason to get these headphones) Bluetooth doesn't auto turn off when you power down headset ( make sure you turn it off after) Overall these are a great gaming headset with good audio quality. The software makes it shine by far. I think these will be my daily use for gaming and my audeze Penrose will be for my hi-fi audio needs.

The good: Sound quality is excellent, as is positional audio with the GG software. GameDAC 2 hotswappable battery removes charging downtime. Extremely comfortable to wear for long sessions. Great range on wireless, holds signal very well. The bad: Mic quality is mediocre at best, treble requires some EQ to work through. Cost at $350 is excessive and really not worth the premium over the Arctis Nova 7s. Definitely get them on sale if possible.

There is a reason this headset has the industry reviews they do. They're the best. They sound great for games, music, movies, all of it. The settings are numerous for all those things as well. The side by side bluetooth connection to other devices is way more helpful than it has any right to be. The mic placement is nice and being retractable is perfect. The battery system is brilliant. Having on the external controller is also a nice thing to have visually for both volume control and settings on the fly. They are also built solid. They don't feel cheap in any part of the build at all. I gave them 5 stars, even though there are some caveats. Comfort wise, I have a larger head and the strap (adjustable) digs into my scalp on longer gaming sessions. For *most* people I don't see this being an issue, and I admit they sit a little oddly on my head. The earcups MUST be replaced with after-market ones. The stock foam earcups rub the active noise cancelling mic just underneath the cup itself causing feedback/static. I had worried my new $350 headset was defective when it's actually a known issue with various models of this headset. The only solve that works 100% of the time (google/reddit are your friend here) is replacing the cups with third party ones. The set I bought are also way more comfortable than the stock pads. I slept on getting a pair of these for years and now look back regretting not having bought them sooner. You won't be disappointed.

This Headset has always caught my attention since its release.. I bought them at launch and was so upset as the ANC nubs would literally test against my ears causing too much discomfort, and comfort is most important to me, the sound, the features, were extremely impressive of course. However, I just bought the PlayStation version of these as I ordered wicked cushions to help mitigate the discomfort of the nubs.. before I swapped the ear cups I tried them on and I was shocked, what happened to the ANC nubs?! Come to find out after much research steel series redesigned the size and somewhat shape of the ANC nubs. It’s extremely comfortable with or without aftermarket ear pads and It blows every other headset I’ve tried sound wise especially out of the water! Very pleased with it and happy I decided to grab these again and give them another chance. If you’re on the fence, grab it. You won’t be sorry.

I used these to replace Bose Q45 for gaming. I don't game online and I haven't used the microphone, but I like that it tucks away nicely inside the headset. Maybe I will use this for work a well. Some people hate the base station, but it works for me. I plan on using these headphones on one desktop only, but I have the option of attaching another to the base station via USB-C. I love that the you can hot swap the battery while the other charges in the base. I would run into issues with my Bose (and Beats) headphones running out of juice, but that's not an issue with these. The sound quality is great. I love the weight and I don't get fatigue on my ears like I get with some other cans. The base station is a little clunky to use, but I don't really need to make many changes; set it and forget it, for me.

Upgrading from a 4 year old wired headset has been a game-changer for me. The freedom from tangled cords and unrestricted movement enhances the overall gaming experience. The software (Steelseries GG) Sonar enhances the audio quality, delivering crisp highs, powerful mids, and deep bass for an immersive gaming atmosphere. With a commendable battery life and quick swapping feature, I can enjoy extended gaming sessions without interruption. The comfortable design and crystal-clear microphone further solidify these headphones as a must-have for any gaming enthusiast.

What a great product. Ability to connect to 2 devices is a game changer. I have connected this to my PS5 and PC and it automatically switches between them depending on what is powered on. Loads of settings in the app and most can be changed through the device itself. There is always a battery charged so you are never waiting. Comfortable on the head and sound is amazing and noise cancelling is okay. The ears however get a little hot and sweaty if you are wearing for long periods of time as the earpads are made of leather like material and not fabric.

1 set Lt Ear was not working so I returned them. For the extra $50 over Astros you get a lot. Bluetooth and ANC are worth it. I base my ANC off of sitting next to a fan that is moderately loud. It works well. Sound is great. I have always used Astro so I am limited. Sound better than my A50s. I get no rubbing that some complain about and it fits my ears solid. They clamp light but do not move. Battey lasts forever and they you have a spare....These headsets are just an all around banger. 1800 sqft house and I have no dead spots. Beast for gaming but has range to listen to my tunes anywhere in the house. Could not be more pleased. It was close with the first set being DOA. Lets be honest. Quality control is a major issue everywhere right now. Got banged 3 stars for the quality control.

TLDR just in case: Wanted a headset that had built-in EQ technology that I could use not only when playing on PC but also when playing on PS5 because I like to listen to music through Spotify when I game (when the game permits it as far as PS5 goes), battery pack swapping is amazing, takes just a few seconds. Easy to swap audio between PC and PS5 just a few pushes of the same button. I normally don't write reviews for products, in fact this will be the first one I leave on this site but I figured I'd take a bit of time to share my experience with this set of headphones I got back in November 2022. As of writing, I'm still using them, I haven't experienced anything better than these headphones for gaming and for listening to music. So diving right in, the purpose for purchasing these headphones was because I needed something that was able to give me a built-in EQ system. I really like to listen to music while I'm gaming but the audio quality for gaming headsets in general weren't pleasant to my ears except for the Corsair Void Pro headset. This was thanks to it having an EQ interface built in though it was only usable through PC. Time passed and I wanted to have that same experience while using my PS5, and my Corsair headset was beginning to bite the dust so I began my research for the best headset for my needs and came across the Arctis Nova Pro. The price tag turned me away at first, but I became super curious as to how the transmitter was used, and once I learned it had a built-in EQ that could be utilized not only on PC but on my PS5 as well, I made a quick trip to the store to pick these up. I'm really in love with how the clear and fulfilling the sound is (after adjusting the EQ settings to suit my hearing pleasure) as well as the range at which I could use the headset when talking to friends in Discord without it dropping connection nor causing my voice to sound robotic or cut in and out. The core feature of this headset is the ability to swap seamlessly between two devices using the transmitter included as well as two USB-C cables that are also included. Using the receiver, I'm able to swap between my PS5 and Gaming PC, as well as swap my battery packs. So the way that works is that you have TWO battery packs, one for the headset, the other a spare. You don't have to charge the headset using a cable, just simply swap the battery packs, and yes, the receiver serves as a charging base for the battery pack. So when one battery is dying, just do a quick swap and your back online. This, is also seamless, at least for me because I keep the headset on when I'm swapping, and after the new battery is placed in it automatically powers back on, so within at least 10 seconds of swapping battery packs I'm back to conversing with my friends. I also have to mention, the microphone is amazing, it doesn't pick on any background noise at all be it if I'm eating or drinking or whatever, it won't pick up on anything. Though this is if you're using it through Discord, when I use it on my PS5, it will still pick up a bit but not as much as I thought it would, however you could argue it's because these are Discord-certified but I digress. All in all, the primary reason I bought this headset was because I wanted an EQ system, and what I got was much more than that so if something ever happens to this set, I'll be buying them again.

i got those headsets when they first came out, and i have tried almost every gaming headset there is, and i will say they are the best investment i have had mic quality, battery life couple days with a swap that it comes with, to the audio quality i cannot be more satisfied they comfortable as well. i i loveeeeee those headsets and would definitely recommend them over and over again. Plus the active noise canceling that i usually have with other headsets i loved in these ones. so out of comfort 10/10. mic quality 8/10. audio and noise canceling 100/10. if you get them you definitely won’t be regretting it!!!!

I’ve purchased many headsets over the years based on in-depth research. These are the most comfortable ones I’ve had! I can play for hours without the headset making my ears or top of my head feel sore. The sound quality is AMAZING. I love the Game DAC because it helps me easily control the volume and customize the EQ to enhance my gaming experience. The convenience of having 2 batteries is essential since I can always have one fully charged. Its easy and quick to change them out after a game so I can continue playing. 10/10 headset and worth the investment.

As my title says, I've purchased several headsets, including the model that precedes this one, the SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless (the model with the battery, not to be confused with this model, the Arctis Pro Nova Wireless), as well as the Astro Gaming A50 with base station. This thing is awesome! The noise cancelling beats every other headset I've ever tried, bar none. I mean, I have a dog that snores and it drives me CRAZY. Even through other headsets - and this is the ONLY one that actually blocked the sound. For that issue alone, it's worth every penny. But wait, there's more! The microphone disappears completely into the headset which is very slick. SteelSeries have expanded the capabilities of the controlling unit, as you have a lot better control of the sound on each ear, etc. I've heard from other reviews about certain complaints, that I haven't had. One, that the cups get very sweaty - haven't experienced that, but just in case, I did buy (for like $15) replacements that are cloth. After a month, I've yet to need them. Also, I had heard that the cups can be painful on the ears - they were for me for a few days, but after a bit of break-in, no issues. (To be expected from right off the factory line, etc). I've heard complaints about the software, but I believe SteelSeries has fixed that, as it works fine for me and these have been out for about a year now. The sound is exceptional (as you'd expect at this price range). The build quality is fantastic. The battery life is longer than the previous version (by far) and they've added a charge port to the headset - so you can charge the battery w/out even removing it! All in all, I've probably owned a dozen different types of wireless headsets, and except for the fact it doesn't have different channels for "game and chat" (if you don't know what this is, then you're not missing anything), this thing is perfect and an upgrade in every conceivable way over the previous model. If you don't care as much about the noise cancelling, the extended range and the rechargeable battery, you can get most of the features for several hundred dollars less in the other models (that look identical to this headset) that use USB-C charging or are wired.
