Customers are saying
Customers regard the product's sound quality, battery life, and comfort as exceptional, with strong connectivity and fantastic, easy-to-use software also receiving high praise. However, the price is frequently noted as a drawback. There are also some reservations concerning its Active Noise Cancellation, and its weight is mentioned, though not as a significant issue.

Pushes against head subtly (can't feel it til..)
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It feels fine when you first put it on, but later the headset started hurting my head. I never had any headaches using HyperX products and I think I'll just go back to them.

disappointing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.genuinely disappointed in SS for this one, there's no bass. none. i messed with the EQ and followed a lot of instruction from online, i simply cannot get any thump out of this. i have an older pair of the Arctis 7+'s and those have not real thumpy bass but it's at least enough to not ruin music

Pretty good a little uncomfortable for the price.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Headphones are really good with dolby atmos, if you plan on using these for long periods of time i do suggest getting upgraded ear pads, you can feel the speakers push against your ear at times.

Buy you mic and headset separately.
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good headset at first but hasn’t stood the test of time, in under a year 1 battery stop working and the mic is intermittently turning off along with connectivity issues. Would not not purchase again at this price.

Mic too sensistive
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones sound amazing. But the mic is horrible for PS5. My first time using them, my friend said i was too quiet. So i turned up the mic sensitivity on my PS5. When my voice volume was good enough, he could hear constant background noise. I updated the firmware on the base station and headset with my PC but that didn’t help. I also tried turning down the mic sensitivity on the base station, but that didn’t help either. Why cant a $350 headset pick up on only my voice and not white noise?…

NOT worth the $
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the money the Sony headset sounds the same and are only $100. I have been waiting for better headphones to be released and was excited to get these cause the Sony headset sounds fine but are hot and not comfortable if you play more than 10-15 min at a time. the new headset was a pain to update on a Mac and then they don't sound any better than the Sonys. The mic on the SteelSeries I had to turn up the all the way to be heard. The comfort was better than the Sonys but they still were hot. unfortunately I will be sticking with the Sonys until I find another option. I have returned these.

Easy to reproduce hardware design flaw.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think for a lot of people these will work okay but I would recommend you buy any other pair. This model from SteelSeries has a hardware fault that is easy to reproduce and for the life of me I cannot understand how more people aren't up in arms about it. Here are the steps: Connect default settings and turn on. Turn Sidetone OFF Put volume above 50% (it starts at like 60% default) Change the EQ setting. Now you will be hearing weird high pitched sounds in the left earcup. I reproduced this with multiple returns/exchanges, and with other people listening to make sure its audible. If you are exclusively using these to listen to music and never have any silent time, then it probably won't bother you. If you never change the EQ from FLAT you probably won't notice, and with Sidetone ON (horrible) you can't hear it over the other sounds piping through the microphone. Contacting Steelseries led me to warranty claims that would not fix this issue because it is a flaw with the design or software. Given the nature of the problem I believe it to be hardware, but maybe I'll try these again in the future if a firmware update tries to address it.

Small
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headphones are tight on the head. The earmuffs are small around the ears and the right earmuff has something poking into the muff.

Awesome
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.By far the best sound I have heard on a gaming headset. My ear does touch the inside but not enough to really bother me. Just wish they had thicker ear pieces

Good, but not worth the MSRP
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid but not for me. Couldn’t get over the clunky GG software and my base station was defective out of the box (apparently a known issue)

Bad mute button
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price of this headset the quality should be higher. It does have some nice features and sounds decent. However the mic seems to have some major issues. I've had issues since I first got the headset. My mic would repeatedly cut out but never could figure out why. It almost acted like I was getting interference. I assumed for the price it couldn't be the headset and was some sort of human error. After some research online I was able to find what I thought was a solution. I basically reset and uninstalled the headset. Shortly after the fix and after the 1 year warranty expired, my mute button started to clearly malfunction. When unmuting the headset I have to flick the button just right or it rapidly mutes and unmutes. Not only messing up my ability to talk but annoyingly beeping in my ears and a flashing light. I'm guessing this was the problem all along but I couldn't tell because the mute button wasn't flashing and beeping. Overall it could be a great headset but too big of error to be worth the money. From what I saw online, this issue is far more common than it should be. Don't waste your money and get disappointed.

Ear piece
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound great feel but the comfort level on the ear is horrible. They have a cone speaker that sits in the middle of the ear piece that actually sticks out far enough to hit your ear. This is on the wireless version. Had to return and bought A50

Not worth the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have the pro wireless keep them. The ANC feature on this headset is a gimmick and doesn't cancel any sound. The game dac doesn't have an optic output cable so your losing sound quality. Lastly there isn't a chat mix like the previous version although even on the steelseries website it is shown to have the feature. Not to mention they're uncomfortable because it has some protruding plastic piece digging in you ear.

Super over priced for what you get.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had these headphones for awhile now, and I'm not impressed with them at all. The second battery has already died, and I have never been able to get these headphones to connect with Bluetooth to my phone. Most of the features are tied up in their software which is not that great. If I had the option, I would not buy these again, and I don't plan on buying from SteelSeries again.
