This is my first SteelSeries product and I was a little hesitant about purchasing this product as the premium price it was being sold at (at the time of this review, $179.99). I spent a few hours watching various reviews on youtube and finally decided to pull the trigger on this one. And I must say that I do not regret it. Setup was a little tricky in that this headphone actually produces two options for the default audio out option on your computer, so setting it up with Discord and OBS required a bit of trial and error. The SteelSeries software you can download to control the equalizer and surround sound options took a bit of getting used to as well, but once you do this headset gives some fantastic audio quality for gaming, especially first-person shooters. I can hear and track enemy footsteps around me with relative ease. The microphone quality was actually better than I was expecting as well for a headset mic. However the biggest selling point of it for me is the fact it can be retracted back into the ear cup body. I knew going into this headset I was going to be getting a dedicated desktop mic soon after, so being able to get the mic boom out of the way and mostly hidden was such a big perk. There's only two caveats that keep this from being a 5-star review, though admittedly they're both a bit nitpicky. First is that the floating headband adjustment option is a simple velcro system (though it's a very narrow, non-bulky or intrusive velcro, so points for that). The problem is that I have a fairly big noggin and there was barely enough room to adjust it to fit my head, so buyers with larger heads please be warned. The second nitpick is the volume control knob. It's located on the back curving edge of the headphone cup and while it's a nice feature in and of itself, the location of it is right where my thumb wants to go when putting on and taking off the headset. The sound adjustment itself is very, very sensitive, so it takes practically nothing to adjust that volume accidentally and have unwanted sound blasting your ear drums until you can adjust it. I wish the wireless version of this headset didn't cost $329.99, because that price is just a little ridiculous and I would have loved to get this headset in a wireless version, but for what it provides the quality and immersion of this headset is definitely worth that premium $179.99. I'll be happy with this headset for a good long while given no breakdowns or failures.

I replaced my turtle beach elite pros with this headset. It is absolutely crispy in discord. comfort scale I'd say it's at 85 percent. It's a little tight on my head for my liking but overall comfortable and not too hot. Mic is very clear for others in game and my favorite part of this headset is the fact that the audio has a slow climb. I can fine tune how loud it is so minutely and that makes me super happy. I have bad hearing but take medication that can make my ears super sensitive if that makes sense. So being able to adjust little by little is a great plus.

Good headset with one exception. The plastic housing where the headband goes into the earpieces tends to crack easily.

I've been using this headset for a while now, and have absolutely no complaints. My friends state that I sound great, and the customization available within the SteelSeries app is great as well. I love the low end noise on this headset, but these are not necessarily the pick for an audiophile more for a gamer. The 7.1 Surround sound and options to link with Discord and the physical between chat and game volumes is fast and useful. I could not ask for more out of a gaming headset.

The comfort level matched with the top quality sound is enough to give these a 5 star review, top that with the ease of control, user settings, color customization, solid metal frame and to boot they work with Xbox no problem. The sound is outstanding as I use them for music and also movies. The multiple profiles you can set up for different games, music or movies is fantastic. Worth every penny.

The price may be high, but you are getting one of the best headsets on the market with audiophile level audio quality along with super accurate surround sound. They fit comfortably for long sessions and are built like a tank. I also like how discrete they are. I hate gaming headsets that scream, "hey I'm a gamer." You can wear these basically anywhere without looking silly. Only downside is that they are tight on your head to begin with, but they begin to stretch out to fit your headsize the longer you use them.

Plug and play, sound great and fit great. The ear surround foams are soft so you wont have the pinching discomfort from hours of use that is always a good thing.

Excellent sound quality and noise cancellation for both outside noise and through microphone. Headphones sound great and do a spectacular job of cancelling background noise so people don't hear household sounds when working from home. Multiple controls for muting and volume adjustment take a bit to get used to, but I love that the microphone boom turns red when muted so you can see it. Headset is large to totally cover ears and heavier than many, so it can be warm to wear for extended time, but that's part of the excellent sound.

One of the best headsets out there, coming from a hyperx headset... Loving it!!!!
