the mouse that could
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this mouse. I have a few mice that I have tried and own. 2 that are similar that I own is a wireless Logitech G305, and a fnatic clutch 2 wired mouse. the fnatic one is 50$ while the G305 is 60$. this mouse is 30$. so just within these mice, this one performs just like the others. the cord is long enough to go to a desktop. its not braided though but that's it not a big deal for me. they all are the same size, on the smaller size with I like. big hands, you would have to claw grip. I am used to that so its not a big deal to me. now for a few more of the mice I own. I also have a G502 and a G604. the G604 is wireless with 6 side buttons, while the 502 is wired and has 3 side buttons. the 604 is 100$ while at the moment the 502 is 50$. a couple things, the dpi/cpi only goes up to 8500. most other mice like the ones I mention go to 12000 or more. like I mentioned the cord does not bother me, but for some maybe. its not braided. The RGB lighting is great but its only 3 sections, one of those sections also includes the logo. and the middle section is very thin compared to the others. I would have loved to see the logo on its own. and like the cord, the size. I don't mind but if you are looking for a bigger mouse then this is not it. Lastly that I can think of is the side buttons are thin. kinda hard to feel and press. they don't stick out far and I find them a bit hard to press in because of this. my thumb is fat so I feel I hit the side of the mouse and have to press to use the buttons. I would have liked them to stick out a bit more so you can easily feel them as well as press them without hitting the side of the mouse. some nice things. although the RGB I feel could have added a separate for the logo, its still pretty nice. most mice that I have only lets you do the logo if that. so at least you get some nice color if you want. it also can be set to react to discord. so it will change colors if you set it to different things with discord like if you get a notification, or someone talks etc. I have this on my keyboard and it can be nice if you get discord and playing with some guys you don't normally play with. so it will light up with who speaks. not needed but its nice. the mouse feels great, moves smoothly over my cloth mouse pad. easy to press the right and left. like i said though, the side buttons can take getting used to. but overall for 30$. I find it a great gaming mouse compared to others out there. I would recommend this if you don't have a lot of money and looking at wanting a nice gaming mouse. if you have a little extra money though, I would recommend the G502 mouse. has a few extra buttons that do help out.

Very Good Mouse, But With Caveats
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PROS: 1. Low, low price! 2. Very nice side buttons. Easy to press, but will never have an accidental press. 3. Excellent lighting. Easy to program with many different options. 4. SteelSeries GG is a great software for mouse control, and will work especially well if you have a SteelSeries keyboard. 5. Very light. 6. Nice soft touch surfaces on the entire mouse, buttons, and scroll wheel. 7. Moves very smoothly thanks to the PTFE feet. 8. Scrolling is AMAZING! Texturing makes for a great feel and the scrolling sensation is great. CONS: 1. Small size. 2. Made for claw and fingertip grips, but as a palm grip user it is very usable if you have smaller hands. Would not recommend to a palm-grip user with medium to large hands. Overall, an excellent value though. Would recommend to any fingertip or claw user or a palm grip user with smaller hands.

I wish the light could be switched off.
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Why does the light have to be on and changing colors at all times? It’s annoying if you leave a computer on even at night. Otherwise, a fine mouse.

||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Already has tracking issues. Sensor is completely clean and there's no damage to the cable. Warranty is only 1 year for a reason. I'll never buy a steelseries product again. Stay far away.

Great gaming mouse
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This mouse is great. It is comfortable in the hand and has great response. It is not too heavy or light, it feels just right. I didn’t do any heavy gaming with it, but I did play for about an hour straight and it felt very comfortable the entire time. It’s really a no-nonsense gaming mouse. It’s not over loaded with a bunch of extra buttons or anything, and even the lighting effects are on the simpler side, for a gaming mouse. The customization software is fairly straightforward and easy to use, and so far, seems to be relatively bug free. I was able to set my desired dpi and custom color options without any fuss. Overall it’s just a good quality, uncomplicated gaming mouse with great performance.

Effective simplicity with a touch of RGB
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Rival 3 is a very budget friendly gaming mouse, there is RGB around the bottom edge of the mouse as well as the logo to fulfill your RGB cravings. The mouse itself felt a little on the flatter side, when compared to my previous mouse, and doesn't have a ton of weight to it which allows to flick yourself around a little easier when playing shooter games. The wire is not braided, but for the price point it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. I was using this on my laptop setup, but have switched this over to my sons chromebook to do his school work from home. May be a bit overkill on that, but the size of the mouse fits well in smaller hands. That may be the only downside to me is the fit in my hand, but this will allow both of us to work comfortably and not have to use the touchpad on the laptop. Maybe I should get a steelseries keyboard so we don't have to use the laptops keyboard also! Overall I think this is a great mouse to get for anyone starting to look into gaming and does not want to drop a bunch of money to get started.
