Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the Rival 300's comfort, RGB lighting, and size, citing its excellent responsiveness and accuracy. Many appreciate the mouse's weight and the ease of use of its software, along with its reasonable price. However, some users noted that the cable could be improved, and a few expressed minor concerns about the buttons and scroll wheel. Overall, the positive feedback on the Rival 300's performance and features outweighs the relatively few negative comments.

I got this sucker, opened it, and pluged it in. ITS AWESOME!! If your thinking about getting it, its worth every penny. It even has RGB which i did not know when I bought this. If there is one thing I don't like its the top surface, its a fingerprint MAGNET and if you have sweaty hands like me you'll be wiping this thing often. But other then that, ITS PERFECT!! Just get it, literally. Just do it! :)

Bought as a casual gaming mouse primarily for FPS's, works great. Price is not bad for all the features. I like the full color options to match the rest of my rig. The profile switching button comes in handy to switch between normal computing and gaming mode. Back and forward buttons are well placed also, and rubber side grips are welcomed.

fits the palm of my hand, thumb doesn't drag on the mouse pad, takes more pressure to click buttons so I don't misclick.

    Just what I needed

I tried two other well known brands which are more costly, however this mouse was what felt best. It is good for larger hands folks to avoid cramping. Nice feeling surface as well. The simplicity of not being overloaded with buttons makes it my perfect gaming and everyday mouse.

    Awful sensor and drivers suck

I recently bought the SS Rival about a week ago and I have been using the Razer Deathadder 3.5G(5 years old) for almost a year on my Mionix Propus 380 mouse pad, having not a single problem like I do with the rival. It will just randomly skip/flick across my screen no matter what I am doing, drivers and without drivers. My Rival is also having a sort of mouse lag issue where it will randomly start stuttering/lagging when trying to move it, as if the dpi is significantly dropping (using 400 but at any dpi this happens) or like the mouse is just losing power somehow. Read someone elses post that the Rival gives issues with the Mionix Propus sadly so I am returning it for a different mouse tomorrow since this sensor is garbage compared to my old Deathadder

This mouse is awesome and works great for CS:GO. It has a perfect sensor and I've yet to have any issues with it. My accuracy seems to have gone up as far as I can tell, which I attribute to having a better mouse.

First off I've been finding little black dust all over my desk which it turns out is from the cheap rubber chord on the mouse wearing down. Then one morning I boot up and notice something weird, I can't left click. This supposed 60 million clicks cant have even been 100k before breaking. Without a receipt they wont honor the warranty. Buy something better.

I used it for 3 months and one of the buttons was broken. I sent the defective mouse back to Steelseries. They confirmed that they got it and they promise to send me back the new one. After one month waiting, nothing come to me. IF u have money to waste, you can buy it.....but watch out for their after sale service

Use mousepad if you have an all white desk

I work on an Ikea desktop that is all white. I found that the mouse would not track on my desk. I had to use a mouse pad in order to get my mouse to track properly. I've used several mice and this is the only mouse that I have used that would not work directly on my desk.

Update: Right Switch Broken in 20 months

Bought October 2014. Gave it a good review here because I liked the feel and was optimistic about the quality. But but now i sit here with a completely useless mouse for gaming because the right mouse button responds to one out of every 3 or 4 clicks then it double clicks or triple clicks, then it doesn't repond again. Use? not much, 5 to 10 hours a week for mobas (for me around 25-60 clicks a minute) and a negligible amount of other stuff. If you do the math that switch is dying after about a million or two million clicks. I'm disappointed it ended up being of junky quality, expect to have to replace it sooner than later...
