Many appreciate the mouse's suitability for various grip styles and its affordability. However, some users noted that the size might not be ideal for all hand sizes, and a few experienced issues with the scroll wheel.

I've come from my fair share of Razer, SteelSeries, and Logitech mice and this is probably one of my favorite mice to date. It's very light and is best for medium/large sized hands. The thumb rest is a nice soft ribbed rubber (as opposed to the Rival 700's hard bumped rubber). All in all, this is a pretty simple, no frills, mouse. One feature I would love to have to round out this mouse is a detachable braided cable - maybe in different lengths.

The weight is a little heavier than most mice today but it gives you stability in shooting games. The shape is very comfortable for claw or palm. The sensor is very snappy and accurate. The wire could be better but if you have a mouse bungee, it wouldn't matter.

I love the mouse. This is my first RGB gaming mouse and it's been very good so far. I have nothing to compare it to but old school mice and this is leagies above those so there's no need to worry on that front. I haven't used the extra buttons as of yet but they're there if you will. Love the RGB color changes!

The mouse has a a nice rugged feel and steelseries has relatively easy to figure out software. My only issue was the length of the mouse and the positioning of the left mouse buttons. This is one of those subjective things, but I've used a handful of "gaming" mice with varying side buttons, these were the most difficult to get used to.

I enjoy it. It is super lightweight and easy to handle. I hope they continue to add more products that can improve a gamer's skill. The SteelSeries application can control your macros and dpi use if you want to adjust it for pc gaming use. I thought of getting the Corsair brands too. They have great mouses too! Recommended!

I bought this at the same time as a keyboard and desk mousepad as part of a Christmas PC build. Everything tied into the PC LED color controls nicely. It has a smooth motion and fast response, exactly what you want from a gaming mouse.

Replaced my Logitech Mx515 after 15 years. A month in so far so good. I'm not expecting that type of longevity, but it is a nice, affordable, replacement for a former serious gamer who now has a demanding job and is a father but still wants to pug a raid every now and again.

I purchased this mouse because I had owned the previous model, the Rival 300. After a couple years of ownership, that mouse was clearly starting to fail; double clicks, triple clicks galore. This mouse is wired like the previous model I had owned, which I like, I can't imagine dealing with latency of wireless mice, so this is perfect for me. I've also noticed it's a lot lighter than the previous model, which was significantly heavier. If you're looking to upgrade or looking to get into gaming mice, this is the model for those who don't necessarily need a million buttons on their mouse or a small LCD screen on the mouse (who's going to look down on their mouse during a game anyway). If you like the classic button layout, this is it. Pair this with a nice Steelseries mousepad and you've got yourself a winning combo.

Love this mouse! Not heavy but feels good in the hand. I have used it for several hours with no tracking or skipping issues playing multiple games. Love it so much I bought a second one for my laptop. All the buttons are very responsive and have good tactile feedback.

Incredible gaming mouse! I upgraded from the Rival 300 and I can easily notice the difference in the sensor which works perfectly! The RGB lights rock! HIGHLY recommend if you need the best possible sensor for gaming!

I bought the Rival 310 to replace a Rival 300 whose left button stopped working. You might think that would make me weary of going with the same brand, but Steelseries peripherals (I also have their Apex 150 keyboard and Prism XXL) are top notch. I will admit the design of the buttons took me a little while to get used to as the previous model had a seamless mold where your fingers rest. I play a lot of Overwatch and this mouse has not let me down. The customization options are plenty and being able to sync the RBG with the other peripherals really makes my "battle station" a pleasant site. Highly recommended for gaming and non-gaming use alike.

I've been out of gaming for a few years but started back with a vengeance. I bought this to replace my well worn Razer mouse. This mouse is great for large right handers, very precise and smooth, great for FPS gaming. I love how it lights up also.

Wife is very picky on her HUI devices. So far my wife is using the mouse at her home office during this force isolation and is enjoying the feel and function of the mouse. If she does not like it, she does not hide her displeasure. After a week, there have not been any complaints.

I've enjoyed this mouse for about a year (due to its comfort) but I've been having issues the last month and am no longer able to recommend it. I'm having issues where my Right mouse button doesn't engage sometimes. From looking at the internals, it seems to be an issue with the surface that contacts the switch. It has an indention where the two surfaces meet, making the engagement unreliable. I've been able to fix it temporarily but putting thick tape across the indented surface but I have to replace it often. From browsing forums, it seems like there are several issues with these switches so I would avoid this mouse. Kind of sad considering I really liked my previous rival mouse, it lasted 5 years and looks like I'll have to bring it back out of retirement for a while.

Fast, responsive, programmable. It’s also wired, which is a downside to some, but a positive in my book. What really is the point of wireless mice? You really want to scurry for batteries in a desperate hour?

I have used another mouse for the last 10 years and recently decided to give SteelSeries a try after seeing a bunch of reviews that say how great they are. I have to admit that I'm a convert! The action on this mouse is the smoothest I have ever felt. One other comment I would make, albeit minor, is that SteelSeries' software is actually fairly good, unlike many other bits of gaming peripheral software I could mention. I would completely recommend this mouse - it works great for both business and gaming.
