The experience of purchasing and having a new receiver installed at Best Buy was a complete nightmare. I purchased a receiver as well as all of the parts the Best Buy installation tech said were required for the installation and to maintain my steering wheel controls and other related functions. I scheduled the first installation appointment that was available in DFW, which was almost a month after the purchase. Upon arrival, the installer was finishing up with the previous install, so I waited in the garage until he was ready for my car (there is no actual waiting area). The tech said the install would take a couple of hours, and since it was a 45 minute drive to the store, I decided to just wait there until he was finished. After about three and a half hours, the tech finally concluded that he couldn't actually install the receiver because the installation tech at the time of purchase didn't include the correct parts for install and, not only did they not have all of the parts needed in stock, but Best Buy didn't even sell one of the parts needed for the installation. I then spent another hour and a half waiting for the original receiver to be reinstalled and for the tech to process the refunds for the receiver and required parts. So six and a half sweaty hours later, I was finally back home feeling infuriated, defeated and swindled out of my time, transportation costs and the 10% I'm gift card credits that I was supposed to get on my initial purchase on my new Best Buy credit card.

Took a little longer than the estimate, but it's done. And done right.
