I found Straight Outta Compton to be a bit cliche' and found some of the performances (EazyE) to be mediocre. It's not a bad movie, in fact I did enjoy it. I just did not feel that it lived up to all the hype. The picture and audio quality are great though.

The movie is entertaining but there are critically pivotal points in the that I and close friends by agree are omitted or totally overlooked. Without giving away the plot / spoiler that is. But I will say I enjoyed many parts of the movie none the less.

If you are one who likes to follow one storyline after another then you'd sit through it. I did expect something different other than capturing a feared intelligence species, caging them up, turning them into slaves... yeah!

A lot of hype, but not a lot of substance...I am an NWA fan, and a Gen X product, but I thought the movie was way over hyped, and did not live up to the talk...acting was just ok, script was just ok...not worthy of all the oscar talk

I watched this movie twice to see if i could get the concept of it. don't get me wrong i did like the movie, I think if you were in that life you would understand it a lot better, looks like a hard life.

This movie is great it shows not just the good but also the bad of what was going on at the time. The trials and hardships that not everyone may remember or have been around for was done really well.

great dvd pack only thing they should have just single pack comes with blue ray dvd which was useless for me since I don't own a blu ray player besides u can probably watch it on cable for cheap

I thought this movie was over rated. The plot was boring and the picture was so dark I could hardly see the actors. If you like rap. you might enjoy it but I felt it was not interesting and too long.

Interesting story about the rap industry. Chronicles the origins of rap and the original players that forged an industry. Some of the plot was too exaggerated and did not seem to parallel reality.

Straight Outta Compton tells the astonishing story of how N.W.A. revolutionized music and pop culture and depicts the struggles with growing up in the hood. Good message despite the language.

Present for my neice who is into hip hop, rap and others and so she could have this to watch anytime. May not be ok for all but it gives a glimpse of earlier times in LA.

The trailer made this movie look great! Unfortunately, it shows all the main scenes and plot turning points. Was accurate, but not that great of a movie. Worth renting or streaming.

This was a pretty good movie, it took forever for us to watch it though because I wasn't that excited about it. My husband purchased this for his collection.
