For those that know about hip-hop we find out everything N.W.A. went through to be heard and everything that happened between them. For those that don't know this is a movie to show them the struggles to achieve better things by people from urban neighborhoods. Great movie!

The writing was superb. Tells a great story. Acting however was fairly decent. As an actor and student of the art of theatre the casting choices were great for the roles they played but no one out shined the other. It was a great ensemble but honestly nothing Oscar worthy.

I've seen this movie so many times! I can watch it over and over, because I see and hear different things when I watch it over and over. The actors portray the people well, especially O'Shea Jackson Jr! He had to audition to play his father's role and He Nailed It!!!!!!

Wonderful movie from the beginning to the end...rather you are a hip hop fan or not this film is a must see! Some of the issues urban youth faced then it's amazing how we have come full circle and facing them now! The rise of Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and Eazy E unbelievable!!!

The movie was captivating to say the least. I was not expecting to enjoy it only because it's not my favorite genre, but I actually did. I have watched a few times now and I am still as captivated as when I first saw it. It definitely deserved more academy nominations.

This movie will have glued in from the start. If you never heard of NWA, this is the best way to learn about "The World's Most Dangerous Group". Great acting by all involve. You will forget they are acting as the real life rappers. I guarantee you will love this movie.

Brilliantly conceived and executed. a real awakening to the beginnings of rap music. a history lesson for the uninitiated, fully realized story telling. the acting uniformly very good. enjoyed immensely. satisfied with the purchase of the blu-ray. highly recommended.

Now this review is a bit biased since I'm a long time fan of the group. Going into watch the movie, i was thinking it was going to be a corny depiction and was pleasantly surprised that it wasnt. It is a really good movie with all the characteristics of a great movie

I remember when rumors broke out of this movies release. The extras offer a mini documentary of the history of not only the group, but of the movie itself. Lots of BTS features and you really get an in-depth look at what it took to bring these artists to life.

Although this film is fairly new it has become one of my favorites. I was very young during the NWA era but that didn't stop me from enjoying some of their movies as I got older. This movie is amazing and I truly hate that Eazy E wasn't here to witness history!

This review is about the blu-ray. The movie is a real great bio pic. Transfer was excellent. Special features are good too. Wish they would have put one deleted song scene in the movie itself. But at least you can watch the deleted scenes of it.

It is a excellent movie good-quality DVD from Best Buy and they were cheaper than Walmart and they had them in stock which was nice they had both versions I looked it up online before I went into the store to purchase and it showed me everything I needed to know!

Having grown up when NWA was coming to life, this movie captures everything and more!! It isn't a cheesy documentary edited for glorification, it is the real deal!! The movie was so good, I immediately went out and bought, the best documentary I have ever seen!

Since I've listened to NWA's music growing up, I was excited to finally watch Straight Outta Compton and it did not disappoint. I enjoyed the story and all the actors, especially Ice Cube's son, who did a great job. Highly recommended if you are a fan.

F. Gary Gray directed an outstanding movie "Straight Outta Compton" with actors that mirrored the real artists. Great deal of inspiration and artistry. Wished movie was even longer, so much more could have been added. Superb movie and 100% authentic!!!

I grow up in the 80's and to be honest i did not listen to much to this type of music. However, the movie was fantastic and hearing some songs I did know again were great. It's for sure not a family movie, but one I think everyone over the age of 18 should watch.

I have been waiting for this DVDs to come out because I did not want to see it in the theater. I wanted to be able to hear and enjoy it without all of the additional comments and singalongs. I also wanted to see the directors cut and commentary. Besides I knew there would be a lot on the deleted scenes that would never make the movie. I'm just mad at myself for not going to purchase it on Saturday, it was on sale. It cost me about $6.00 more when I bought it on Sunday.

Besides some real life accuracy issues this "story" is not only well told and represented right, but also very inspiring. Sit down with the members of N.W.A. and learn a little something about the beginning of Gangsta Rap and the birth of many legendary careers.

This z just exploitation of a group that went against the FBI, but the movie itself z actually really well done. Relive events from past that actually happened n some that maybe didn't but r now legend! Gray does a gud job of making all actors believable n roles

To come up from Compton to making an impact on music, Straight Outta Compton is on fire! Really shows how you can make a difference through music, regardless of your upbringing. Dope movie!
