I was a DJ back when all this Rap Music started I didn't really care for a lot of the it or like those of us that liked Disco I think people just didn't understand the music. People put labels on thing they can't understand, But I think this was a GREAT MOVIE!!

I love Hip Hop and NWA was one of the best to bad the original group only came out with one album. This movie great and the acting is on point. There is some events that are not shown but i did enjoy the shout outs of what was about to come out in hip hop

I grew loving NWA and thought I knew everything about them!!! But I learned allot from this movie!!! If you grew up in this Era or are a fan of hip hop back in that time or in the present this is a movie that will educate you of where this music came from!!!!

Straight outta Compton is the biopic that NWA deserved ! Too bad Eazy wasn't around to see all the fruits of his labor.

I pre-ordered this movie in January. I was supposed to receive it January 15, the release date. To my surprise, it arrived 4 days early. I was super excited about this and the fact that it came with a t -shirt. I love the movie, and the service from Best Buy.

Officially the usurper of 8 MILE, this film is not just the best rap-based biography movie, but it's also one of the most powerful RockDocs ever made. A beautiful telling of one of the most revolutionary moments in music, with stellar performances all around.

The compelling story of the originators of gangster rap, it portrays the truth about the members as the typical rag to riches story. O'Shea Jackson's performance of his dad ( Ice Cube) is a riveting portrayal of his dad. A must have if you're an true NWA fan.

The story line of this movie depicted the era this music cane out in and the stuggles they went through to not only have a voice in a system that set them up for failure but also bond they shared from their experiences. Very suspenseful and emotional movie!

This movie and the movement changed America forever . People was afforded the chance to witness the beginning of gangsta rap. And the influence their music had on the world. The acting and film were a superb display of how it was in the early days of hip hop

Powerful film that still holds true today. The music industry can be very challenging with strict guidelines for artists. However NWA was sheer raw talent and bravado. Breaking all barriers for future artists and rappers alike.

My husband and I really enjoyed this movie. Got a understanding about the rap game, and where each individual in the movie came from and what was going on in there neighborhood and surroundings. Somewhat graphic in language & music, but this is their story.

It was an excellent music that exceptional allowed the audience to witness firsthand the trials and triumphs of young musicians struggling with the perils of their environment riddled with police brutality and the pitfalls of a disenfranchised neighborhood.

I was a little skeptical about watching this movie thinking it would be nothing but profanity and violence but surprisingly it had a good story line. I have read from other reviews that the storyline does not follow the correct actual events and I am not sure what the actual events were but I thought this movie did a good job showing the struggle these young men faced and the exploitation they faced from the record labels. Definitely one to put on your watch list!

Even though I'm already familiar with the story and music of N.W.A., I saw this movie in the theater and I loved it! So it was only natural to add this film to my collection. Tell 'em where ya from!

Growing up listening to N.W.A. I was really excited to watch this movie. This movie is really entertaining . Watching them overcome their struggles is inspirational. If you're looking for an entertaining movie this is highly recommend!

This was a great movie! It was well shot, and extremely accurate for the events surrounding that time period in Hip Hop. If you're in to Hip Hop history, and good music, this is a definite buy. The addition of the digital copy is awesome as well. Peace

The Universal Blu-ray looks and sounds terrific across the board. I probably speak for a lot of others when I say that I'd like to see most substantial special features, but the short documentaries are decent, and I'm really liking the commentary track.

It was a rough time and life was tough. But talent , desire and personal drive can conquer much. The true story of how NWA took control of their own destiny and made it big , made it legendary. Their music defined a changing period in black history.

It was a lot more interesting than I expected it to be. It was nice to see how much these artist when through (harassment by police, cheated out of money), very inspirational to young artist/men. Great acting and music. Mature not for minors. Recommend!

My girlfriend missed this movie at the theaters. Was very eager to watch it. She thought it was really good about The NWA group & Death Row What went on when it was going on in the late 80’s & 90’s. Overall great movie.
