I haven't bought a DVD in years. But, I hadn't seen the movie and was thinking about buying a blu-ray player. Not to mention I had a $5 reward certificate. So, I bought the DVD/ blu-ray digital copy combo pack. End price with tax was a little over $16.

I grew up listening to hip hop among other genres of music. N.W.A. were innovators for their time. The movie follows the beginnings of true musical geniuses. Of course you have to keep in mind that because this is a movie several things were left out.

Love these movie. Listen to the music in the 80's. Would of love to see what Easy-E would of done with the music of today. Also would love to see Tupac would of done. Only hand full of music and rappers of today is ok. 80's 90's music is much better.

Should've had some sort of Oscar recognition! Great job in all aspects telling the story of one of the best hip hop groups of all time. Wish they did more after Eazy-E's death and did some about Ice Cube and Dr. Dre's career than the clips at the end

I purchased this for my son... I also enjoyed the movie with no issues. It is basically an individual preference as to what types of movies you like but it was right up my sons alley not so much mine but I got to spend quality time with my family...

I had people tell me this was good and others that it was not so good. I personally really enjoyed the movie when it came out. As soon as it hit Blu-ray I didn't hesitate. Really knocked this one out of the park. Not what I call a kids movie though.

The story in itself was on point in the expressing of a time and place where success could be achieved by faith, belief and determination is paramount if one doesn't concede by giving up on one's dream. The cast, director and crew did a great job.

NWA was one of my first cassette tapes growing up. This movie plugged some of the holes that were there for a few things I didn't understand. The acting was great and it did a great job of telling the story and tying in real life issues with film.

this movie is by far the best product ice cube has put out. Very well done to clearly identify the culture. Loved how they didn't live within the gang violence culture not to mention they did a great job of telling the stories of these individuals

The movie is long but it is worth it to watch. We didn't even notice how long it is because the story is moving and, relatable (if you're born within the characters' era). Actors were able to portray the characters stories and mannerisms so well.

This is great movie for two reason it gives you an inside look at the rap game how it's changed so much since the 90's. Its account of their lives are giving by the persons direcly involved or by immediate family members. Must see & own movie

I saw this film in the theater, and thought it was fantastic. Then it started running on HBO, and no matter what part of the movie I happened upon, I found myself watching it time and time again. I would put this movie in my top 25 all time.

The World's Most Dangerous Group FINALLY got they justice due to them with the best movie of the year & my 2nd favorite movie, The Passion of The Christ is my favorite. Straight Outta Compton needs to be seen by EVERYONE.THIS MOVIE RULES. ENJOY.

This movie went on sale and it also went on my purchase list, couldn't find it on the shelves but your staff was so kind as to help look for it with only 2 left in stock. Glade we were able to locate one. Thanks again and keep up the good work

Not a fan of this music genre but the story and performances won me over. As a musician, and music fan it is still so interesting to get a glimpse into others creative process, even if it's not my first choice of music. Not being a close follower of the actual events portrayed I can't attest to the accuracy of the story, but found it compelling none the less. Recommended to anyone who can appreciate art, artists, or an entertaining film.

Simply a great movie about one of my favorite rap groups NWA. I can also attest to the realism of this film's portrayal of NWA because I lived through the time and area of th group's formation. The dialogue, music, and cast were all dead on!

I purchased this movie as a gift for a friend. I did not know at the time that this blu ray had an additional gift of a t-shirt. The lady at the store brought this to my attention. My friend ended up getting two gifts and we saw a great movie.

This was an excellent movie depicting the life of NWA. Therefore, I was totally surprised this movie did not receive any Oscar nominations. This was a good movie from beginning to end. It sheds light on the current path of Ice Cube and Dr Dre.

Straight Outta Compton is a true American story about a rap group that broke barriers, this is not just for hip hop fans but a story, that should be viewed by all. Somethings in this film are still relevant today...This movie deserves an Oscar

This is one of the best movie in a while. The story of NWA is interesting and cool to see how the group had humble beginnings with Eazy E not knowing how to rap and Ice Cube penning rhymes in a composition book. I'm a bigger fan now than ever.
