I grew up listening to N.W.A and all the groups that were spin-offs in the 90's. It was great to see a movie where black Americans took advantage of the american dream and made something of themselves.

This should be required in American Music History classes. I also definitely understand why Cube won't stop singing the police song. I'd keep singing it too. What they went through was infuriating.

Was Waiting on this movie for years saw it opening day in theaters purchased it the day it dropped on blu ray and the directors cut is even better than the theatrical I highly recommend picking this up

Reviews of movies are very subjective, but I would give it a look if the subject matter interests you. As far as the combo pack, I had no issues with either disc, and the digital copy worked perfectly.

I grew up during this era. I lived in Oakland. My military husband played their music,and introduced me to a new era of music! Loved the movie! It put a real face and story on the music!

I thought this movie was awesome! I loved the acting, and I was surprised because they were unknown actors. I can't wait to see them in other movies in the future. I thought Ice Cubes son was awesome!

You don't have to be into Hip-Hop to enjoy this movie. I grew up on N.W.A, so it was great relivin' that history of the group. This was very well made. Not a cheap cheesy movie. Highly recommend this!

This was very nostalgic for me to see all these hip hop musicians portrayed on screen. Loved it way more than I thought I would! Great performances make this a very compelling and entertaining movie!

Even if you’re not a hip-hop fan, you can’t deny the raw of power of NWA and their debut album. The themes in this movie correlates wonderfully with what’s going on today.

this is a film that is really enjoyable. so many films don't give you the feeling of actual enjoyment. so they took a lot of time to vary the scenes and tone of each sequence. good stuff.

Great movie!! The only problem I had was the day this movie came out I drove all the way to Best Buy after work so I could get a this movie and the free shirt and they said they were out of the shirts

Movie is about the rise of "Gangsta Rap" and portrays some of the key players. Pro: Although the movie "glamorizes gangs, drugs, violence" (to use the movie's words, not mine), the movie does not really dwell on those subjects, but rather the creative process of music itself. Con: The movie does show quite a bit of "booty," T & A, and sheds a rather degrading light on women.

Great movie and testament to one of the greatest hard core rap groups ever. I loved the humanization of Eazy E and how he was the foundation for the groups beginnings. A real story about real people.

Film takes you back to the early days of rap. Brings back memories. Excellently acted and profound insight to a pioneer group, clearly provides insight to the struggles for the freedom of expression.

I originally saw this movie in theaters, and it was so good that I had to buy the physical DVD. I don't buy many movies anymore considering they can all be found online, but this movie was worth it.

Been a fan of Ice Cube and Dr. Dre since I was a kid... Knew the story line and heard the music a thousand times... But to watch it and really appreciate the whole genre, totally worth the purchase.

This movie captures the essence of N.W.A in Compton in the late eighties and early nineties. Some very talented bruthas who were groundbreaking on the hip hop scene. This movie is not to be missed.

I saw this movie in the theater and loved it. The songs are great i can remember when NWA first came out and all the news about the songs. If you like shows of behind the scenes this is a good one.

Though not a fan of rap music, I thoroughly enjoyed this film. It is one of the best biopics, I've ever seen, and the special features do not disappoint. Give it a shot, and you won't regret it.
