This was a great portrayal of the NWA story. While everything couldn't be covered, it gave you an idea of what it was like for them during their rise to fame. Still sad what happened to Easy-E.

This was one of the best movies of the year. It was tastefully made with great actors. Ice Cube son played his father to the tee and I believe that no one else would have done it like he did.

I grew listening to NWA, so it was like the 90's all over for me. It was really interesting to see everything that went on behind the music. It is a great movie! I totally recommend this movie.

Remember watching this movie on the week it came out at the theatres and it was awesome so i just had to buy the dvd to rewatch it.

I love this movie, I had a friend who was from Compton and she knew Jerry Heller, I couldn't find the movie but I came to Best Buy and they had the movie! I was so happy when I found it!

One of the best movies of the year. Brings alot of momeries back when Rap music was good and meant something.. NWA the start of it all. Without Dre and Cube these new "artist" wouldn't exist..

Straight out of Compton is a great film with authentic portrayals of NWA, and of a time in Rap that will never be duplicated. The film brought the music back to life, and was a sobering account of the reality of Eric Wright's life, and the ongoing struggles of those trapped in Americas inner cities. A haunting and entertaining tale of Gangster Raps greatest crew.

Saw this movie on the big screen, was funny and entertaining. Music was good too, love those 80's! Told people about it and they went to see it too. They were not disappointed either.

I thought it was very gritty and real in showing the audience the behind the scenes story of NWA and how the music group got started and then became successful despite having ups and downs.

I have been trying to get a hold of this movie being sold out for some time and finally got a chance to watch it on a clearer picture.

If you like success stories this is a true American real life nothing held back not sugar coated movie. They "N.W.A" overcame POVERTY PREJUDICE PROFILING. Nothing else needs to be said!!!!!

By far one of the greatest hip hop movies I've seen in ages right next to hustle and flow, you can feel the message this young rap group from the past was trying to say from start to finish.

This movie showed how one of the greatest Rap groups in history got started and the things they went through after becoming successful. The actors were superb and the story was well written.

I was a fan from the beginning of NWA career. I love how the story was told. It did not glorify violence in my opinion. It told the journey of the group and how they evolved as individuals.

I saw this movie at the theater and could not wait until it was available on DVD. Great story line and acting! It took me back to that time period and I was able to relive the great music.

I may be a little biased being that I was born in Compton but this is a great movie especially if you were in your late teens or 20s when NWA came out. A must have for your collection

Great movie. Acting was great. All the characters matched their counterparts especially Ice Cube's son. He looks just like his father. Also this story tells you have money split friends up.

This movie was great. Oshea Jackson had a great performance. It is very cool to have this feeling of nostalgia while watching this movie and see how awesome and influential this group was.
