It is a fantastic depiction of NWA as they started out in Compton. The movie really touches on the highs, lows, and pains of growing up and becoming artists within the rap genre. It leaves you understanding how one rap album revolutionized a culture that still to this day reigns high with fans.

This movie brought back a lot of memories. With the music and history. This shows what they had to deal with just to make their dreams come true.

I couldn't stop singing along to this movies soundtrack and I also lost my breath because of how good it was. Great movie and I am happy I bought the unrated directors cut.

One of 2015 best films, a refreshing and energetic movie about the rise and fall of a Hip-Hop group in the late 80's and and the power of music & the relevance of art tackling modern social issues. Great performances, directing, music and etc. The Blu-Ray doesn't disappoint with great picture and sound and a extended director's cut.

This was a great movie. Good acting and very informative of what went on behind the scenes in the early stages of the rap industry. I hope they follow it up with a sequel.

Came with a free shirt, and I love to always see biopic films about the people in real life that I love, and this movie is one of them for sure hands down. NWA for life <3

This is a movie that I had not seen before I got it. The packaging and delivery time were perfect. I'd definitely buy another DVD from Best Buy!

Went to see this the day it came out in theaters and loved it. I couldn't wait to be able to bring this home and experience this great movie again. It's a must see movie.

The picture quality is sharper than the blu ray, with deeper blacks... but there has been a yellow filter applied that is annoying. Sometimes people look like they have jaundice. If you already have the blu ray, I would probably just stick with that. If you do not, go for the 4K and decide for yourself.

this movie was good reconized all the players...some things left out thou, espiacally the arrest info...some of these men where very bad...but they changed their lives!

I would have to say that straight outta Compton is one of my favorite movies. It so brings me back to my youth and the start of gangsta rap. It's a must own for rap fans.

This is a great movie about one of the most influential rap groups of all time. This DVD comes with plenty of extras that are fun to watch. I highly recommend this movie!

This movie did a great job of telling life. It showed exactly what the times were like in compton then. I hope there is a part 2 because there is so much more to be told.

I went to BB to purchase a movie that was not shown at any of our local theaters when it was released. BB had it in stock and the New Release section made it easy to find

Hands down one of the best movies ever! I was so glad that I got it. They were doing a promo where you get a free shirt if you purchase the movie but I came too late.

This movie is well made and better acted. O'shed Jr is the star of the group and gained more respect for the group and Ice Cube. Great movie and repeat watcher for sure.

Not only did I get the same experience from the theatre but I also got the chance to have options and view it on several different views like uncut and all. I like that.

The best movie of 2015, now on BluRay. The amazing story of rap pioneers NWA, with great performances and great music. Essential for rap fans.

I never knew the story of NWA. I bought this because I loved the music. But seeing how they formed and grew was great. The acting was spot on.
