Great movie for anyone who grew up with NWA must have for any collection

Was disappointed that it wasn’t in Dolby atmos. But looked great.

Unlike today this genre of music does not emphasize on the struggles of the community and the change and equality it hopes will emerge from these messages. 'Straight Outta Compton' is a story told with great pace, fantastic acting and some true moments that will resonate emotionally. Any fan of this group of artist will love the moments when the songs are written and performed in concert. I was actually surprised that this film did not get more Oscar buzz.

Awesome movie and it’s really high quality and worth the money

Let me preface I'm not a big hip-hop fan. I find most of it boring, repetitive, stupid and just not interesting. However, I must state I don't believe you need to be a fan of the group N.W.A. or the type of music. Will you probably appreciate more aspects of the movie if you are a hip-hop fan or like N.W.A.? Sure. But if you appreciate good storytelling you owe it to yourself to check this out. And you'll learn a little history about one of the pioneering groups in hip-hop. Recommended.

A movie that shows the music that I grew up with...priceless

HDR is really done well here. Very restrained but effective!

This was a great film. Grew up with these guys. Im the same age as them and grew up with the same concern over those trouble times. Everything from the harrassing L.A.P.D. to the unifying of people through music. It was sad to see the group break up and hear the back and forworth bickering. Sad when Eazy past. Glad to see they brought this part of music history to the big screen. I enjoyed it! Now, I own a great film and show support for great filmmakers and great pioneering Rap Group!

Awesome movie from start to end! This movie brought back many memories. For me as a teenager growing up. I remember going to an N.W.A concert back in the day and all of that stuff was really going on. What else they could have achieved if they kept going as a group?look at the doors they open for all mainstream music and the talent that Ice Cube and Dre have help and developed throughout there careers. Two of the richest talent of all time! Must see movie from the start to to end.

This is a great movie if you're a hip-hop fan and grew up listening to Dr. Dre and the N.W.A. in the 80s-90s. The picture quality is excellent and natural-looking, with vibrant scenes as needed - but the sound quality is even better just because of the music. Packaging includes 4K Blu-ray, standard Blu-ray, and a digital copy code for streaming on-the-go. Worth picking up if you're a fan of N.W.A. and hip-hop music genre in general.

The movie is decent enough. The bluray quality is good.

Anyone interested in the story of NWA needs to see this movie. The acting and directing are excellent, and although it obviously can't touch on the whole history of NWA, it does cover the most important parts, and does it well. An epic film that is very entertaining, I highly recommend to any NWA fans, as well as anyone who just likes a great movie. The Bluray version also came with a DVD copy as well as a digital version which I added to Itunes.

Not a fan of NWA but was aware of the music and their importance to rap music and music in general. Watching this biopic helped me better understand their impact on music and that era. The movie is very well made with excellent casting and acting. The Blu Ray has the Unrated Director's Cut as well as includes a Digital Copy that I can now watch anytime. Got a great price over the Christmas break so totally worth the value for my $4 spend.

What I enjoyed about the movie was not the music. Which was great. But the characters You get the chance to find out who these young men were and what drove then to becoming NWA. How the industry has a different agenda than the artist. . How these young men grew into the Dr. Dre's and Ice Cubes of the world. How Easy E has so much trust in people doing the right thing. How this movie did not get nominated for an Oscar baffles the mind.

You Don't Have To Be A hip-hop fan to enjoy this movie but it does help. From this group came Dre Beats headphones and sound systems and also a script writer and movie producer of the Friday series and kid movies like are we there yet. All this from a group whose biggest hit at the time was a song called F the police. Only in America!
