This was a great movie about a group of friends faced adversity to become a successful rap group in The 80’s NWA

I was a fan of N.W.A. and this film is a depiction of the band with rose tinted glasses. As much as it is a good film (not great) it is definitely deliberately leaving out details around some of the scenes depicted and content of their music. It's a movie and not a documentary so I understand the reasoning behind the scope of the story and it being more so for entertainment than education. Movies are for an audience to root for a protagonist and have you identify with them. Docs are more for telling a story from an objective view. It is a cool movie but it's very narrow story that concentrates more so on 3 out of 5 members and their stories than the what all the members dealt with.

This would qualify as one of the better movies I have watched. I would recommend to all who like rap music. It was fantastic!!

Good movie. Saw it in theaters and then bought the extended version. I like the extended clips and such.

After I saw the trailer I wanted to see it but couldn't due to work now it comes with blue ray disc and the original dvd disc

I knew the story of NWA and the movie was true to that. The director is great. The acting fantastic. They got this movie right.

if your are a big fan of the NWA and want to know how they originated you should definitely buy this movie its a good watch.

For those interested in learning more about the beginnings of the careers of Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, this is a nice start.
