Purchased to replace an aging first generation Amazon Fire TV Stick and a second gen Apple TV. I have no way to compare newer versions of those devices in terms of performance, but find that the Roku Streaming Stick+ responds very quickly when pressing the Home button--about 2 seconds to paint my home screen. The older devices could take 15 to 90 seconds typically. The Netflix, Sling, Hulu and ESPN buttons work as advertised, and with similar performance as the home button--up to 2 seconds to begin initializing the service selected. The Search functions are very good, once you learn how to use them efficiently. I miss being able to use a bluetooth keyboard for searches, but the voice input is usually very efficient, mitigating the loss. The display quality of content exceeds the resolution of my TV, and provides 1080p support without any special effort or configuration. In spite of being an Apple household (two iMacs, iPads, and iPhones), we do not use iTunes for video rental/purchase, and thus do not feel limited by this Roku's lack of support for the service.

Roku wins when it comes to the number of available apps compared to other streaming devices. It does get hot, but so far it has been very durable. The remote control is small and easy to use. The UI is smooth and responsive. I like Roku so much that all my TVs have a Roku.

I really love the sound this item makes when moving the mouse around. I also like the offers that come up. One thing that is awkward is that the volume control is so in the way when you're trying to push the off button. I almost always click the volume button when I try to push the off button. Otherwise it is excellent

One of my best plug & play experiences. Very simple and easy with great tips and support. We had three TV's and wanted to eliminate cable TV. Two were "smart" TV's but the builtin apps were woefully inadequate. Really great to have the same exact interface and capabilities on all 3.

Took some reading To retain high quality pic because I have a home surround system with an amplifier. Only certain HDMI connection ports retain that quality. Diff subject- Best Buy keeps sending “deal” emails for Verizon iPhone 11. $699.99 is no deal. Please stop until it really is a deal!

We already had one of these in our house, but didn't think we needed one for the one Smart TV we have in our basement. Unfortunately, the age of that unit and the software makes it tough for the kids to navigate; so we got another Roku stick!! Works GREAT!!! The price makes it tough to beat!

I bought the Roku streaming stick on line at Best Buy for local pickup. That whole process was perfect and made it very easy to get. The streaming stick works fantastic and it is much smaller than my other Roku devices. This is great for the location it is used in since it is invisible. I love the whole transaction

First time Roku user. This stick is currently on an old Samsung 19” LED TV 720p. It is powered through the TV’s USB port. Note: We have AT&T Fiber. User interface is pretty straight-forward. I like that you can rearrange your channels/apps in any order you like. Setup was simple. The only tedious part was setting up streaming channels individually with our DISH account (Food Network, HGTV, etc). Once everything was setup, we were able to watch on-demand and streaming easily. The remote can be paired with TV to power on/off and adjust volume; it cannot switch between TV inputs, though. As far as quality, on-demand stuff streams at a crisp 720p on the 720p TV (receives 1080p signal from Roku and scales down to 720p). As far as live TV, streaming is seamless for the most part. I rarely get true HD, but it doesn’t look like a potato, either. This all depends on internet connection and processing power of the Roku device. This device does not seem to overheat like my original Chromecast. Overall, I’m quite happy with our Roku experience so far. We wanted something for our guests to have in their bedroom entertainment wise, and this device fits the bill. We will strongly consider getting this device for our bedroom when we get a TV for it. It beats having to pay $7-10/month for extra cable/dish boxes.

I've had at least 4 generations of Rokus & this one improves on all the others-lightning fast, very good voice recognition, no wires to fuss with(plugs into the back of your TV). Still an astonishing tech device. Of course most TVs have some Roku-like software nowadays but this is still the gold standard for internet streaming.

The Roku stick is very easy to install where you are installing it directly into the HDMI slot or also using the included cord for power through the television set. The app and software are so easy to use my mom, who's a senior knows how to access her channels and apps.

For years we were sworn to Apple TV, but then it just stopped performing as well, or offered new features from Netflix and Hulu. The interface for Roku is top notch, super clean and easy to use. I love the remote, and this version is super high quality and fast to use. The best.

I bought this and the Streaming Stick+ with the headphones for me and my family to share. It was well worth the money! It has all of the apps my family likes to enjoy and has pretty much paid for itself with what I've saved from getting away from my cable. Set up was incredibly easy too!

I've used Roku devices for several years and I've had buffering problems my old Roku Express. This new streaming stick worked great without any problems. No problem streaming Prime, Netflix or any other service. Roku devices have generally worked well and are worth the price.

Finally cut the cord and decided to try out streaming. The streaming stick + is excellent and there appears to be very little difference in performance between this and the ultra. I purchased the ultra in order to plug in the ethernet but for all other TVs, I'll be buying the streaming stock +. Highly recommend this product.

Wow im very very impressed on this small streaming stick..the processor is very fast ,more than the ultra,its so compact, and portable,and setup was a breeze, has tons of channnels that are free and enjoyable,if you looking for a streaming device you must get this one..its priced right and colors with hdr is amazing, i love it.

I love the Roku stick + for all my streaming. The single remote for most things works great and I very much enjoy having volume control integrated. Painless setup for the most part and it works great. I have a smart TV and still use this vs the built in features as everything is in one place.

Ok, after getting it all together, this is WOW!! Almost immediately I figured out, it would not fit my T.V.'S. (Bummer!) I went back to roku directions and viola..there is the problem. I needed to order the attachment for FREE from Roku. No problem in ordering 2 of them at same time. They arrived in very timely manner! The big problem came when it was time to bluetooth everything to my phone, tv's and roku...but..I got'er did!! The Best Buy website and online ordering was extremely easy. Within no time, receiving email my order was ready to pick up. (Yah!) Parked in a spot, called BBY, associate was out in no time! If you are on the fence about Roku, don't be. I cut the cord couple years ago, and never looked back at the horrendous cable bills. It's amazing how many shows you can watch. There are lots of "on air" shows. I watch my church services off Roku.

Good streaming stick, provides a good 4K picture. Easy to setup and use. Can get somewhat hot when used for extended periods. Mute switch is on the right side of the hand control, right where a user can accidentally readily press it, unfortunately often. A better choice would have been to put it on the left side of the control.
