Great Streaming Device

This device offers numerous free apps that allow you to watch different shows/programs on it. After trying it out, I loved it! I went back and purchased one for each of the televisions in my house and have recommended it to my friends and family. And no I don't work for, get paid by, or have anything to do with Roku. It really is a nice device.

Serves it's purpose

I was approached by a Comcast rep who asked about my service and boxes that I pay for. When I told her how much I pay, she recommended the Roku. My curiosity is why I bought this device. I am able to channel surf all of my channels just like I do on my TV. There is also easy access Netflix and Amazon video. The video quality is better than my cable service provider.

Very handy to have, very easy to overheat

Apparently it just runs the whole time, even when the TV is off (still not entirely sure on this point, but the next leads me to think yes), and so I get decently frequent errors that the device is overheating. It has to be unplugged and left to sit to cool down more often than I'd expect. It functionally is fantastic and works like a dream, but the lack of ability to turn it off is definitely not doing it any favors.
