I have had Fire TV and use one Android TV device. The Roku just seems to flow a little better but thats just my opinion. Range is good and it has all the apps I need. If you are looking to use the new T-Mobile TV (if you can get it) I don't believe its supported, so check first.

They take hours to set up the first one and the rest remember what is on the account. You get what you are subscribed for already but there are hundreds of stations to add. It does drop out once in a while but you just click back on again. If you have an ethernet connect to your wifi I would purchase the Roku Ultra which I bought to replace my dvr on the main floor. It never drops out and it has a micro sd to remember all your downloads so it loads quickly. But it is $100 not $40.
