Best feature other than amount of apps to choose from is the search platform. Searching gives you all results, and where to find them and how much they charge, without prioritizing the results to match any particular brand....just where and how much and where it's free from a service you already have.

I like this version even better as it has the mute button on the Roku remote, ended up pairing it with mine as I wanted the feature and father-in-law would not have used it anyway.

It seems we have less buffering than with the original Roku. I like that is portable and hope we don't regret not getting a unit that has a built-in network port instead of relying only on the wireless. It would be nice if we could program the instant buttons to our own choice services.
