Only one minor complaint: If you use the controller to turn the TV off, it won't turn off whatever streaming service you're watching. Hulu thinks I binged four seasons of a series that I only watched two episodes of. It's been annoying getting back to find which episodes I haven't seen. So you have to make sure to exit to the main menu before switching the TV off. This might not happen with all TVs, but it does with mine.

But NO, everything worked great after the Roku went into hotel/dorm mode and established a mirror WiFi network to allow the phone to act as input device. Cool.

Not Like Other Rokus I Have
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this Roku to take advantage of the 4K abilities of my 65 inch Samsung TV. I have Rokus on the other TVs in my house, and was confident in the Roku name. But this model did not perform as well as the others. There was a lot of buffering right from the start and I even switched from 5GhZ to 2.4 but it didn't help. I ended up watching live TV off the antenna the rest of the evening. The next morning I turned it on again to see if the buffering was still happening. It wouldn't even turn on. I reached behind the TV to remove the Roku and it was so hot I couldn't hold onto it. It also had a very hot, plastic smell. I managed to get it unplugged and disconnected, and took it back to the store and exchanged it for a different model. That one works just fine.

And I was told that a much cheaper version of the item I was looking for would do very nicely. I was very impressed and grateful for helping me meet my needs and save money at the same time.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great, to add voice remote to your flat screen TV that is not a Roku Tv...All worked fine, but my older 43" Sony flat screen TV that is 1080P....The remote would not hook up to control the sound on the TV, and the notice said that because the sound on the Sony smart TV, would not connect to the one code that they have for Sony...Conclusion remote works great with voice...but the sound on this TV is not compatible with this Roku remote
