Remote connection is poor

I have the same problem with two others that I own so it is not just this latest one I purchased.

Operates fine but some problems installing

Using extensions for your power connection or extending your HDMI cord may make the stick in operable. The stick will work with an older HD tv though.

I hate this device

It advertised stronger wifi connection. I worked great for about a month. Now the remote is spotty at best, and most of the time doesn't work. It also gives me an overheat message regularly requiring me to unplug the device and the plug back in. This is a major pain since my tv is mounted. There is also an extender cord or something that they will mail you if you register the device on roku.com. It's annoying that they don't just include this to begin with.

You did get a lot of free stuff. But we returned it and bit the bullet for the Apple TV. It seems to have better quality and of course, better interface with apple devices. But for the price, it worked fine.
