Good picture, fast loading, bad remote

Tried rebooting and other troubleshooting steps to no avail. Have to use app on phone which is always disconnecting from device after 5 or so seconds of inactivity

Bad Roku Unit

I kept hoping it was something that I did to make the unit act up be as time went on I realized the unit was bad. It heats up to the point that touching it could burn your hand (almost). I do not have the original package that it came in or the receipt. Can you help me with this transaction? I do want to get a new Roku unit.

Just A Roku, Depends on Your Needs

Casting a lot and Roku is not easy with this option, plus the display is not that nice.

Maybe its a bad one, might exchange. My roku box works perfect where this one seems to have issues. Nce awake however its just fine.

OK but has a big flaw

The Roku devices I bought (3) were easy to set up and it takes very little time to figure out how to use them. However, after years of cable and satellite where you get almost instantaneous response when you change channels, it now takes about 5 to 10 seconds of a black screen with a circle spinning for it to change to the selected channel. I could live with that except for the times where it goes to a black screen and never connects. Then you have to go back to the home screen, reconnect your source and then find your channel again. This to me is so frustrating that we are seriously considering going back to cable

This doesn't have enough RAM

It's slow to load channels on Youtube TV. I think the higher end model has a faster processor and more RAM. I will try that one next. Otherwise, I will go back to Amazon's stick.

Having consistent problems

If I turn off the unit our TV and then go to turn it back on the Roku might begin but it doesn’t go to the home screen. This happens almost every time
