Seems ok but......

I plugged it in and learned if the port did not have enough power I would need to use the electric cord. The electric cord is short and though it seemed to work when I first plugged it in that is no longer the case. I am not happy.

Disappointed with the 2020 model

Because of this I decided to get another one in 2020. The new one is having issues like frozen remote already 3 to 4 times and wondering what should I do with this.

Quit working

The error message is 020 HCDP, which is a well known Roku issue. Never able to resolve and Roku customer support is worse than worthless. Wasted my money and time on a product that quit working. Would never buy another Roku product, which is too bad as it worked great for a period of time.

poor remote

I put brand new batteries in and now am getting a low battery error. Hard to believe that a quality remote would drain the batteries so quickly,

If you are not using private listening with your remote and are still experiencing issues with battery drain, we'd like to recommend an alternative power solution that may help—if the USB cable from your Streaming Stick is currently connected to the USB port on your TV, please connect the USB cable directly to a wall outlet or power strip.
Additionally, please check for the latest update under your Settings menu as our engineers believe that this has been resolved in our recent release. Dangerous

Bad Roku Experience

She did not listen to my concerns. In Georgia. Wanted me to turn over control of my computer to her. Was she in Georgia Russia or the state of Georgia? I don't care. I will buy a new Apple t.v. when the model comes out.

Excessive buffering

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me first say that I a superior broadband connection, an excellent house-wide mesh network, all TVs are Samsung, have used other Rokus without issue in the past, and currently have no issues with amazon fire. But this device, tried on several tvs, was either defective from the outset or the entire model line does not work on my network. I do not have time to waste on finding out. I returned it. (That process was fine.)

Device overheats

After about an hour of use the device displays 'device over heating' error message. Per mfg. this is a known problem. I'll be returning and exchanging for a better product.

Unreliable Device

Had to contact customer service to wait for a HDMI extender. Finally got it after a week of waiting. The unit worked but then the remote stopped working. It would drain brand new batteries in a day. I went thru 3 sets then contacted customer service again. Was told the remote is faulty. I am now waiting for a replacement remote and they will not ship till middle of February. All this on a brand new unit. Customer service will not do anything but tell you to wait. Never again....
