remote does not work

I have returned the product twice and same remote issues. Roku choose to ignore the remote problem and keep selling these sub par quality remotes

Roku is not for everyone

The picture quality is not that great so 4K doesnt mean anything with this device. Roku does not offer anything besides another channel to access your apps. Roku basically makes you non smart tv a smart tv and thats it. I returned mine and bought an OTA powered antenna. Much more fun.

A $40 item would have been over $130 ....NOT!!!

They first told me it was $69.00 then it suddenly went up to $90.00.----I returned it. No one that I know that has it has had to pay "extra" for it other than the $39.99 + tax purchase price. Salesmen said nothing either. Kind of disappointed.

Posted .Hi there, help has arrived! Please know that your Roku Voice Remote is designed to control volume and power for your TV. It cannot directly control other devices connected to your TV, such as an audio/video receiver (AVR) or soundbar.
However, your TV may be able to issue volume commands to your AVR or soundbar using a technology called HDMI CEC. In these cases, your new remote can indirectly control volume for your AVR or soundbar. For this to work, all your devices must be connected via HDMI, and all devices must support HDMI CEC and have this feature enabled.

It was like starting over every time I wanted to watch TV, and it took half the length of the show to get up and running. In my opinion ... streaming is not all it's cracked up to be!

Doesn't play movies clearly on HBO max

I can get into the app and click on the movies but everything was super pixelated to the point nothing can be seen. I was actually trying to upgrade from my purple roku stick since HBO max wont even load on that.

Quit Working

Now all it does it show the bouncing ROKU screen. I have do multiple soft and hard resets and it keep going back to the bouncing screen. Bottom line is that is getting returned. I have other Rokus and they work fine. This one is a dud.

Does not Stream Amazon Prime

The device is difficult to connect to at times. I use it when I travel for work. The biggest issue I have is shortly after I purchased it, Amazon Prime could no longer be streamed. I need to buy an upgrade.

This player should stream Amazon Prime for you, unless you are traveling to a region where Amazon Prime us not supported (i.e. outside of the US). Channel availability/access on Roku devices will vary from region to region as it is determined by each channel provider themselves.

USB stick overheats

I would recommend the nonUSB version. The reason is it overheats after about an hour of streaming 4k. I tried to give it plenty of open space to operate with no luck.

As a reminder, you may want to try finding a cooler location for your Roku player. For example, avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight, or inside a cabinet (or other enclosed space). Similarly, avoid placing the unit on top of other electronic devices such as cable boxes, routers, or audio/video receivers, as these also tend to emit heat.

Piece of crap

It is ridiculous how cheaply this stuff is made. The worst part is that the 30 day return period had passed before I had needed to move the device so I couldn’t return it.

Awful. Did not work. I’ve been trying to return it

Bad roku

We didn't use it for 9 months and once we.plugged it in the remote is intermittent. We love Roku but this one is awful and useless. I wish we could return it but it has probably been way too long
