Best Streamer on the Market!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an exceptional device that is truly a bang for your buck. Actually, its more. I bought this for my parents and they seemed to truly enjoy it, so I decided to buy one for myself. Even though I have a smart TV, I would rather use this because the software is much better and smoother to use. The picture quality is amazing and this device receives Wi-Fi very well.

Great picture. Limited by stereo only sound output
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Affordable, portable streamer. Has great picture including 4k and HDR. Some apps like tubi, BritBox etc actually perform better on Roku than my apple tv4k. Remote is better than apple BUT drains batteries every 2 months so I had to buy a rechargeable remote for another $30. CONTRARY to claims this stick only outputs stereo sound regardless of source or setting. NOT 5.1, no dts, no DD+, no Atmos, only stereo. So for newer movies like on Disney or Paramount you'll want an apple tv for top notch sound.

Awesome
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a roku 2 and just got the streaming stick plus and am amazed how I can see 4K youtube videos and Amazon Prime and more. I can mirror cast my phone to the TV. The speed of the steaming stick is amazing compared to the old Roku 2

Many apps available and easy to use interface
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are many apps available on Roku. We have to add all of the apps which we would like to use manually as they do not come added by default. The interface is fast ad easy to use. There are couple of issues I got with this, 1. As this is stick attached to the back of the TV, quite a few time in a day I face signal issues with the Roku remote as its signal being blocked by the TV. Would love if it comes with atleast 1 feet extender. I know that Roku gives extender for free but it is not big enough to come below or beside the TV. 2. Not sure why, one time in 1 week of use, the volume in Roku turned off automatically, even though the volume settings are default and the TV volume is high enough to be audible. I have to restart the Roku to get the volume back on Roku again. Otherwise this is great stick with lot of content free content available.

Great product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently bought my third one. So much easier to use than smart tv built in apps and you can download more apps. Plug in USB to USB port on TV. You do not need power plug to keep it powered up. Easy to use remote with voice control.

Get Rechargeble Batteries, Also, Older Firesticks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had to change the batteries already after 2 months and I barely use the Roku. I noticed a lot of recent reviewers having the same issue. How often do you change remote batteries ? After 4 or 5 years when you no longer get the distance you used to you take off the back, spin the batteries and you're good to go for another few months or so, right ? I got this Roku because the Firestick set up for Xfinity was so onerous that it took me 4 hours over 2 days and I even had a very detailed Youtube to work off of. (Thanks to that uploader) A Comcast customer service phone person told me that the Roku cames all ready to go with the Xfinity app.. However, I spoke with a friend who got Firesticks (maybe last fall) and he said his were all ready to go with the Xfinity app.. I use the Firestick for sports in that if you record the game and watch it on record (concurrent with the game) the Firestick allows you pause, jump back, and jump forward. The increments are 15 seconds so two clicks and you jump right to the next play on a football game. I can't do that on the Roku (at least I haven't figured out how . . .). What I do use the Roku for is setting recordings. The Firestick only shows 3 hours ahead. Again, this Firestick is at least a year old and did not come with the Xfinity app on it. It seems that the resolution on the Roku is a bit better but your brain fills in so much information that you wouldn't notice it. Hey, with either device you will save $80 to $100 a month on Comcast (who never told me about the streaming option . . .). Buy your own modem and save another 10 bucks a month. It will pay for itself in half a year.

Great choice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought 2 of these for our flat screen TV's upstairs. Easy set up & programming. The remotes are easy to use. Once you set for the first time your done so we don't see the need for additional keyboard like everyone says.

So easy, buh-bye cable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first cord-cutting device since we got an original Chromecast. This Roku Streaming Stick + blows it out of the water. Very intuitive interface and setup. After picking and choosing all the pertinent apps (Netflx, Amazon Prime, HBOGo, Showtime Anytime, Fox Sports Go, Watch ESPN, etc), I'm now delving into the world of Plex so we can put all of our DVD's and Blu-Ray's in storage and watch our favorite movies over Wi-Fi. If you're thinking about cutting the cord or getting some sort of entertainment device, let this be the one. The Roku also controls your TV, so you can turn the volume up and down. No more switching between remotes, especially if you truly cut the cord and use Plex instead of your Blu-Ray/DVD player.

Great streaming player
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very happy with my Roku Streaming stick. We are using Roku players with Youtube TV to be able to cut the cord with cable. The setup and login is very easy when done with a smartphone. Also, the interface is quicker and smoother than the built in interface on my Samsung TV. I have not yet had a chance to try it on 4k. I appreciate though that Roku has a built in 4k channel. Even though the streaming device supports up to 4k output, that doesn't mean that the content being streamed is in 4k. The only downside is that I was unable to program the Roku remote with my Westinghouse TV.
