I was angry with Directv dropping channels, their outrageous prices and offering better pricing to new customers instead on their loyal ones I finally feel that I’ve joined the 21st century and have been streaming now and exploring my new options. Neither our children nor grandchildren suggested this to us. So grandparents, you can do this. Easy to set up and easy to us e Try it

My wife and I upgraded from the old Roku system to the streaming stick as the old block froze and stopped working. The fact that I can plug the power cable directly into the tv usb port saves outlets and cables! Also, being able to use the remote to adjust volume, mute ads and go directly to Netflix, Disney or Hulu is convenient and amazing!

I bought this unit to use on an older flat screen that had a wired Roku attached. I discovered that it didn't have a USB port which is needed for the wireless Roku. I have a wireless on my other flat screen that I love and will keep this one. It's a great small fit and streams nicely. No problems at all. It's a very nice technology for wireless TV. I've told many others who want to cut the cable!

Pros: Easier than previous models to setup. Access to a variety of entertainment options. You do not need to pay the monthly rental of the cable box (but you need an entertainment service provider). Cons: There is a 1-3 minute delay between having a cable box and the Roku device. The quality of the picture is dependent on the quality of your tv.

If you're tired of ridiculous cables bills, the Roku stick is the answer. It gives you access to a # of apps, like Sling which I use. It helps to eliminate the useless crap channels that you don't watch and allows you to choose your favorites! The Roku Channel ( included), has some good movies & lots of viewing options. Well worth it!!

We are cutting our DirecTV satellite subscription after 20 years with them. We are now 100% streaming with the Roku device. Its been about a month now and we are happy. The picture is clear and sharp. No issues with picture quality, and no issues with Wifi spots. Overall, very happy we made the switch. Just make sure you have unlimited data plan because the data goes fast with High Def TV/movie shows.

I had no idea what to expect from Roku. I only got it to watch a local news station that was dropped by Frontier. What a surprise. I can get anything I ever want to watch. It was easy to install and easy to navigate. The only thing missing is a way to record which is not a big deal since previous broadcasts are available.

A great value to convert your tv to a smart tv. The device is compact and will most likely be hidden behind or on the side of your TV (plugs into HDMI slot and can power through most TVs USB port). I am a big fan of the Roku platform and works great for me since we cut the cord and use YouTube tv for watching tv. This is not the first and probably not the last roku product we buy.
