Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Roku Streaming Stick+ is simply awesome. It's super easy to set up, it's powered by your TV, and the signal booster that is built in to the USB cable ensures a strong wireless connection. This thing attaches entirely to the backside of your TV and is completely out of sight once it's installed. I bought this for use with a bedroom TV because I didn't want any unnecessary electronics cluttering up the room, and I couldn't be happier.

Best way to stream!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were streaming through our blue ray player, but the quality was bad. So we bought the Roku streaming stick, and it works so much better. Highly recommend it over streaming through your TV or player.

Try this ROKU for yourself.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently bought this ROKU device for use in our new travel trailer. I love how small it is and it has worked very well so far. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star rating is because the streaming stick gets very hot after a couple hours of use. I read about this occurrence from other reviews and it is a little concerning. I also don’t understand why ROKU doesn’t include the short cable for TV’s where there isn’t room for the stick to connect directly to the back of the TV. I had to connect it to the HDMI & USB aux inputs on our trailer’s stereo unit.

Bargain Streaming Stick
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think this stick is a real bargain for the quality you get. I have a half-dozen means of streaming things in the house between the smart TV's, blue-ray players, Tivos and computers. The Roku is dead simple once set-up. The picture quality from my wireless system is very good at 1080. I cannot attest to the quality at 4k, but for the price I don't think you could go wrong if the attached TV is limited to 1080.

Best Streaming Device Available (IMO)
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Roku is a great device and lightning fast. Faster than a PS5 or other console device. A way better experience than the options on your smart TV and will last longer as it will receive better and more frequent updates with a lot more variety in channels. The remote is simple and comfortable. One of the best remotes I have on my shelf.

Roku
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this Roku stick at least as much as my oldr Roku. We have this stick on the TV in the basement and it seems to pick up our WiFi signal and stream HD and UHD content without any problems.

Nice upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This new version of Roku is a nice upgrade from a earlier version we had in another room. It is easy to use and install. The ability to handle 4K and the use without line of sight makes it reliable. It is easy to download apps with plenty to choose from. The addition of voice command is a nice plus. Our history with these products is excellent and reliable.

Easy to use
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this for my 8 year old non smart tv so that I could have Netflix and Hulu in my bedroom. It works wonderfully. It's quick to start up and easy to set up and get ready with the apps you want. I've had no issues getting logged in and using all my apps and it's remote works well and has several short cut buttons.

Love the TV Controls
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did own the old Roku Stick, what sets this one apart is the fact that it has tv controls on the remote itself. So you don't need to grab a second remote to change the volume. Also, much faster.

Works pretty well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this for my in-laws who wanted a simple interface for streaming options. Roku seemed like the right choice. They like it so far. They don't have a 4k TV, so I can't comment on how well that works. Pretty easy and straight forward to use. Setup was simple and it has all the content that they wanted plus a whole lot more.

Great Useful Product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really easy to use. Great wi-fi reception. Netflix actually looks sharper through the stick in contrast to through the app on the Sony TV. We can move the Roku from our Master Bedroom to the family room really easy. We bought it because our older Sony no longer offered the Nexflix app. Will buy another one as soon as it is on sale again. Highly recommend.

Great for kids
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My six-year-old can operate this by voice, which makes it probably the best streaming device in my household. Chromecast has gone way down hill, we never bothered with Fire's restrictions... Roku is the best I've seen. Easily the best remote, super-easy to use. We even have smart tvs but we prefer to hook up the Roku just for the remote and ease of use. Wish I had bought five.

Make Your TV Smarter
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this so that I could use streaming services on an older Samsung LCD TV that lacked any "app" capability. I have other Roku devices, so Installation was easy and familiar. I only had one issue, which was that my TV's USB port did not supply quite enough power for the Roku stick. This is the first time I have had this problem, and I’ve installed other Roku sticks on older TV’s. In this case, about half the time I turned on the Roku, I’d get a warning that there was not enough power. Sometimes it would work, but eventually it would fail during streaming. I had a USB wall adapter, but the cord included with the Roku stick was too short. Note that you MUST use the USB cord that comes with the device because it has an embedded wireless transceiver. Without that, the stick is pretty much useless as this is required for the wireless remote and WiFi reception. My only option was to use a USB-A male-to-female extension cable. I wish Roku would either include a longer USB cord or have just integrated the antenna into the stick so that a standard long USB cable would work. I love the Roku interface. It’s responds and loads apps quickly and is easy to navigate. I like that I can customize how I arrange my, and the global search feature is very nice. One gripe I have with Roku is that they are getting to be almost as bad as cable and satellite companies when it comes to licensing content. This may change shortly, but right now, Roku and YouTube are arguing over licensing issues, so the YouTube TV app is unavailable. This also happened initially with HBO Max. Another issue to be aware of is that if you want 4K content, and you have an older 4K TV without HDCP 2.2 support, you are out of luck. I have an older Vizio TV that was one of the first 4K models out, and it does not support HDCP 2.2. I still recommend this Roku stick, but because of the USB cable issue, licensing concerns that may affect current and future app availability, and HDCP 2.2 requirement, I can’t give it a five-star rating.

Great device for wall mounted TV's
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have 3 different Roku devices in place. The stick seems to be the easiest to use on a TV that is wall mounted because it doesn't produce the cord clutter that you have with the others. If you have a USB port on the TV, the whole thing is confined to the space behind the TV. If you don't have a USB port, then the only wire is the power cable. It is stable and reliable. I set one up for a friend who is completely computer illiterate. He has had no problems with it. The big advantage is that if the USB port powers down when the TV is turned off, you don't have to remember to return to the home screen to avoid continuous streaming. While not a huge problem if you have unlimited Internet access, if you are working with any sort of data cap (even a 1T one), not returning to the home screen allows the devices to continue streaming until you turn the TV back on. It can be a serious data sink. Depending on the location of your HDMI ports, it will probably be completely hidden from view. The only disadvantage I have seen is that it uses a wifi remote, so the 3rd party remotes probably won't work with it unless you buy one specifically for this device. That said, you won't really need a 3rd party remote if you don't use an audio receiver for your TV's sound. It manages the TV volume, mute, and on/off (and does it seamlessly). I have already recommended this device to 3 friends and I will continue to do so.

Great overall product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No complaints here. Love roku for the great options on channels, I cut cable and use this for entertainment. This particular one allows you to watch in 4k quality if your tv is able to display. Not bad on the price and paired quickly with my tv. You can manage volume which is very convenient. Worth spending the money for the flexibility on entertainment needs I love watching sports through here with the better picyure quality.

It's a Roku
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want features and apps, beyond what your TV provides, or even if your TV doesn't provide them, then get one of these. It works great, and I've never had a complaint against a Roku device. All these other manufacturers, like Sony, Vizio, and Samsung, they put the apps on their TVs as a gimmick, and rarely care more than 6 months out, how they function, or even if they function. They just want to sell you the TV. Once that TV is taken off the market, and a new one put in its place, they could care less if Vudu stops working, or YouTube is buggy. This is why the Roku will always be superior to the TV interfaces. They aren't interested in selling you a TV. Their platform is getting you those apps, and ensuring that the apps continue to work, for the foreseeable future. I often love the apps that are built into my TV, but, for example, my Samsung 82" TV starts having issues playing 4k content from Vudu, after an update. My TV is less than a year old. That's just annoying. I've rarely, if ever, experienced anything like this on a Roku. It just works. In my opinion, these TV manufacturers should just build this into their TVs, and forget about creating their own "ecosystems." Let someone who actually CARES about the quality of the smart entertainment, build the software. What's it going to cost? An extra $10 per TV?

The best media stick
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Roku is probably the best in terms of turning your TV into a smart device. It's interface is excellent and is quick and snappy. I also love the ability to stream my Xfinity Tv to it, something none of the other media sticks offer at the moment. The wifi range on this thing also super good. Gone are the days of slow loading times because of poor wifi range.

Great Device!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought one of these Roku sticks to replace a Spectrum box for which I was paying about $6/month. The stick is great. I have installed over 40 channels on it. I know there are several hundred free channels available. As I speak French and Russian I installed a French news channel and a Russian language news channel. There are plenty more to choose from but I only have so many hours to watch TV. Buy the 4k version if you have or THINK you might upgrade to 4k. I watched some YouTube 4k to see the quality. It blows me away. You can find some of the 4k content on YouTube that the stores use to demo 4k TVs in the store. I bought 4 more of the Roku sticks for my other TVs including a patio TV that has no cable feed.
