I love Roku. We are able to make our non smart tv into a smart tv. Easy to access to netflix, disney+ and a lot more. Definitely recommend.

The portability is the best feature. I use at campgrounds when there is no cable hookup. I also use it in different rooms at home-- no need to rent a separate cable box!

Connection to my wifi is good. Remote controls everything. Plenty of free stations and connecting to existing paid services is seamless.

We recently started to cut the cord for television watching. We cancelled our DirecTV subscription and went with a streaming service. We were using a firestick initially because we already owned one for Netflix and similar providers. Needing devices for other TVs we decided to try the ROKU. We are finding the menu and functionality to be much better than the Firestick. My slightly tech challenged wife finds it more user friendly too. We are surprised at the number any types of channels that are available and some even being free. I highly recommend this ROKU.

roku works out of the box. there are a few things which they could warn you about up front (eg. roku banner on startup can be bypassed by plugging in to power source. like a computer needs to be powered off to reboot periodically), but as i said it works.
