Simple straightforward to set up, and easy to use!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a previous owner of several Roku-enabled smart TVs, this was an addition to one that didn't have Roku features built-in. The instructions were easy-to-follow, and it only took a few minutes to get everything working. Unfortunately our TV didn't have enough power to run the Streaming Stick+ from its USB port (as indicated on-screen and with the flashing LED on the unit itself), so we had to use the supplied AC adapter, which was no big deal. Roku seem to have a solid platform, and plenty of integration with the major networks (CBS All Access, CW, etc.) and streaming providers (Netflix, AppleTV), so there is plenty of content for us to watch. The biggest hassle with this was trying to activate the 2-month free Philo trial. For some reason we couldn't access it on-screen or via the Roku or Philo websites. I guess their computers didn't want to talk nicely to one another. We had to log a ticket with customer support to fix this, which took about a week.

Perfect Streaming
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This roku is amazing. We were trying to decide between a few models,SO glad we chose this one. It has volume buttons and TV power on the remote so don’t need to use 2 anymore (previously used a wii). Works perfect for Hulu and Netflix even extended streaming. Haven’t had any buffering or slow load times.

First time user and worth the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The installation was very easy and although there are guides, I was able to figure out most of its uses pretty easily. The biggest part that surprised me is that after you have registered, you can take the Roku with you while traveling. Great way to get your shows/channels pretty easily. Wish that I had investigated using one sooner.

Goodbye Satellite & Cable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even though all my Tvs are 4K and Smart TVs I purchased one of these sticks for each. I now can stream almost anything including live tv and my local channels (I'm using Youtube Live TV) but there are other apps also. Got rid of Dish Network which was costing me $150 per month. Now paying $40 per month. I love it.

Great Streaming Stick
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decided to cut the cord and went with the Roku streaming stick and is pleased so far. Connects easily and is powered by my TV’s USB input. Streams live TV and apps well with good quality. My only issue but not a big deal is the “up” arrow button isn’t as responsive as the others.

Better than the older Roku.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 4K Roku has great picture and quality. the voice command is a great feature that works well. I really like the feature that you can set your Roku to display close captioning when replaying on demand movies or shows. this is a great feature for those movies or shows were the sound is unbalanced.

Bought three and had an older model (4 yrs old)
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are great! So many channel options and the remotes are simple and easy to use. I have an older model I bought 4 years ago and it still works great. We finally cut the cord from cable (satellite is worse than cable, in my book) and bought these Roku devices. Love them!

LOVE
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this roku set up. i have 6 between my 4 kids, 2 living rooms. these come in super handy when your smart tv isn't able to update and add on new apps. these seem to run faster then the built in apps on my tv and are so easy to set up and move if need to.

roku media stick
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this product is awesome, easy to use and install, the only thing is the remote does not have a number pad but it is the cheapest product in the line and you can buy another remote control but at an extra cost. but I liked that Hulu, Disney, Netflix, et al are already in the program and the beta Xfinity so if you want you can get rid of the cable box and the cable charge for that box. truthfully that is why I bought this Roku. I just wanted to send the cable box back to Xfinity and stop the monthly rental charge for that d**n box! I already had an amazon device but at the time it wasn't working with Xfinity( amazon recently came to an agreement with Xfinity so you can now also use the amazon box for that). I am very pleased with my Roku device and I will say if it had not been on sale at best buy I probably would not have purchased it. no problems with it works as it should.

Small size, works great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have a larger Roku box in the living room but wanted something to watch Hulu and Netflix on the small TV in the kitchen. This is perfect. Pretty much does everything the larger box does but without taking up any extra counter space. The remote was easy to program to control the TV power and volume, too. We love it.

Much improved
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This version works much better thank the original streaming stick. Even if you do not have a 4k tv, videos load faster and the interface is much more responsive. This one also has the newest family mode feature to allow you to chose to skip any combination of language, violence, nudity, etc.

This is a great product, simple as that
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I initially just wanted to get Disney Plus for the family, the newer tv in the living room had the Disney Plus app on it, but the one is my wife's and I bed didn't so, I thought, either buy a new tv, or look into either getting Roku or the Amazon Stick. After reading a lot of reviews about both, how both had a lot of apps, but Roku had more, and the user interface, which is simple and pleasant to look at, I choose the Roku 4K Stick, and I am glad I did. Super easy setup, and I was not able to get Disney Plus, but get the Disney Bundle which included Disney Plus, ESPN Plus, and Hulu for a great price. We even later got another tv as a gift which was a Roku TV which I love very much. No issues as of yet, thank God, and they are constantly adding more apps to Roku, which makes my choice an even better one. I am even thinking of buying another Roku 4k stick for another tv in our house, but that right now is just a thought. Having Roku is awesome.

Ditched Amazon firestick for Roku!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Roku does and awesome job of being content agnostic! The streaming stick works perfectly and I like that I can stream video content from my phone / tablet etc. with a simple 1 click. Roku is the best in class standard. I use it to control Netflix and Direct TV Now. I’ve tested Hulu and that also works well.

Good cable box alternate
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought The Roku to replace a cable company box and monthly rental fees. Easy set up. Lots of channels for free including Pluto etc. Remote is not as easy to use as standard cable company remotes to jump to a specific channel. Overall a good buy for the money!

Non-tech baby step to streaming
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Non-tech person wanted to be able to try streaming of free content from library and other sources or to be able to access PBS episodes that my DVR happened to miss (used to have to watch on my desktop computer). After learning what an HDMI port was and getting over my intimidation of having to unplug my DVD player (which I rarely use) from one of the HDMI ports on the back of my TV it was easy to plug in the Roku and follow the setup process. You do need to create an online account and provide credit card info (just in case you watch something that is not free), but it will ask you before it charges you for any paid content you try to watch. So far the free content is not as great as I'd hoped and haven't tried to watch much via the Roku but it's only been plugged in for a week now. The voice command feature isn't anything special but kind of nice to have it when I don't want to try sifting through the menu. That said, the menus are pretty easy to go through and if you are a channel surfer...well you've got a lot you can surf with the Roku. My external stereo sound that I normally use with my TV doesn't work with the Roku, so when on Roku I just use the TV sound. It has a lot of potential if I was more confident in my tech abilities and if I wanted to pay for streaming channels because it is easy to use and supports many of the main services. Plus the ability to unplug it and take the streaming stick with you on vacation to be able to watch your streaming services anywhere is kind of cool. So far, this is my baby steps into the 21st century and streaming and it seems quite suitable for that.

Really Great Roku
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really great, this Roku is even better then the first one we had. It is easy to use and the TV controls make it even easier to mute and control the volume without the inconvenience of finding the TV remote. The voice control makes searching fun and easy!!! Very happy with this Roku.
