It was suggested to try the Roku Stick + in order to avoid leasing another set top box. In combination with the Xfinity streaming app (beta) Channel I saw no reason why I should continue to lease several other set top boxes I have in my home. I was surprised at just how much Xfinity functionality the Roku Stick has. Note, I have Gigabit Cable service and personal routers internal to each floor of my home which allow me to stream seamlessly. However, because Roku is a different procedure and my wife hate change I will keep the set top boxes she uses to prolong our marriage. The Roku has voice control but so far its seems to command the command use of the streaming channels and not calling a channel within a streaming service like Xfinity. Even with that creating Xfinity favorites seems to give me a costless work around. Xfinity's streaming app is listed as a Beta on Roku but works much better than expected. Can't wait for version 1.0 release. PS I purchased 6 and replace 3 set top boxes and added a guest room HDTV to cable service.

This thing is a BEAST when it comes to streaming and live tv streaming. I told my Amazon Fire to kick rocks after I purchased and received this bad boy and I don’t regret it either. I never knew how savage this thing was til I read reviews and watched numerous countless YouTube videos about it. Then I knew I had to get it. You can stream stuff that you won’t get with Amazon Fire. That’s awesome and the price is awesome too. I bought mine during the Presidents’ Day sale and it was marked down by $20 but it was so worth it. You won’t go wrong with this bad boy. So glad I bought it. So glad. I love ROKU. You get themes with this bad boy. Can’t get that with amazon fire. Holiday themes, you get automatically and the channels you get are endless. So many channels so you’ll have plenty to watch. The days of turning on the tv and not being able to find anything to watch because nothings on tv are over. There’s always something to watch.

I am totally satisfied with this product to the point of giving it 4 starts - I also have a Fire stick and the voice control on the Fire stick is much better hence the 4 stars. The Roku supports Dolby DTS surround sound as well as Dolby Atmos and Dolby audio. The Fire stick only supports Dolby Atmos. So I have the Roku on my TV that has surround sound and the Fire stick on the non-surround sound TV. With the Fire stick on the surround system there is no surround sound unless you are watching a broadcast that is out putting Dolby Atmos. This is where the Roku is much better with Dolby DTS, Dolby Audio formats as well as ATMOS. With this you really can cut the TV Cable cord - I would add one more thing with the Roku beware that there is a phone number that may pop up if you need assistance installing the Roku. There are a lot of scammers out there telling new Roku owners that since 2019 Roku is now charging a subscription to use this product and they can offer you a 5 year deal at a discounted price for the subscription - Caligreeks is one of them - Its all BS. if you have a problem with the stick only use the Roku,com web site for any questions no one else. Don't call the number its a scam. THE IS NO ROKU SUBSCRIPTION NEEDED PERIOD.

Couldn't be easier to hook up and the speed and picture quality is fantastic. love the universal remote - it works great and feels great in the hand.

My favorite streaming device as it stream 4k an HDRVideo. Easy too use with all of the 'item's you need in a compact package. Voice remote and TV controls are an added benefit. While I'm not 'tecie' comfortable; it was easy to set up and functioned well.

Had trouble with a smart tv buffering issue I guess because of WiFi speed. Once I purchased and installed tv is working like I had hoped. Easy install and no more buffering issues. Highly recommend. Seamless interaction with apps. Better remote than lower cost Roku stick.

I bought this so I'm able to watch Xfinity without purchasing another box from Comcast and it works great! It was super easy to set up the remote in order for it to turn on and off the tv as well as adjust the volume. It's also very user friendly and capable of downloading other apps just like the firestick, but I think much quicker than the firestick.

Bought it for a Christmas gift for my brother who is cutting the cord. So far he has been able to stream all of his favorite apps as well as use it for live TV. Picture is great and the remote is great for long distance or out of range use (the HDMI is in the back of the tv and the remote works without a problem).

Bought to add to my Spectrum Streaming service. Having a Samsung tv, the Roku greatly improved the speed and performance of my Samsung tv instantly. No more delays while changing channels. Roku remote works so much better than my Samsung tv remote. Best thing I could have done to improve my streaming experience.

I had purchased a Sony 43" TV so that I could get the Disney +, Hulu, Netflix and other apps. All the apps worked except the Disney + app. Finally found out after going back and forth from the cable company to Disney+ that Sony does not have the rights to Disney+. I found this out from a very intelligent geek squad person, David. He suggested that I get a Roku stick in order to see Disney+, so I did and now thanks to Roku, I get Disney +. Roku also has all the other apps that my tv does, and what is good is that you can take the Roku to another TV to watch one of the apps. It was fairly easy to set up and I am in no way smart when it comes to setting up electronic anything. It was scary as I was afraid I would miss a step and it wouldn't work but the instructions were very easy to follow and it set up with no problem So if I can do it, then it should be easy enough for others that do not have technical knowledge and are "electronically challenged" as I am to set it up. Glad I got the Roku.

I was using the apps in my 4K Sony Z9D TV but noticed some of the apps would not play in 5.1 surround sound. Netflix and Vudu always came through in 5.1 but others would not. After extensive research I decided to purchase the Roku 4K streaming stick. After a very easy setup I launched my apps and sure enough Disney+, Hulu, CBS All Access and Amazon Prime Video all came through in 5.1 surround. Disney+ also streams all their content in 4K HDR. Although the Roku stick only supports HDR 10 and not Dolby Vision the picture quality is outstanding. This device is very easy to use. I will be getting a new 4K Sony for my bedroom and will be buying another one these as soon as I do. This device works great. If you have any issues getting 5.1 surround from your apps on your TV this is definitely the device to get.

What can I say, this streaming stick and remote are wonderful. It was much easier to set up than the firestick, and I'm able to use it on an old tv without cable. This is definitely well-spent money. The remote pairs with the device as soon as the batteries are inserted, and it's easy touse.

The performance of this product is impressive. The picture quality, ease of use (and setup) and search capabilities are noteworthy. As the manual indicates, the unit performs better when powered by line voltage rather than by the TV's USB port. All in all, highly recommended.

we just switched from Directv to streaming using Roku. We have a premiere + and now this Stick +, (works on 2G or 5G) and both have voice command which i love! With a older TV I could not get it to turn the TV off but it will turn it on. I wish the remote had more buttons. It has hung up once and the audio does lag at times so it needed to be reset but it is very easy to set up. They do run hot (temp). Overall it works very well 95% of the time perfect. We are using Hula + Live that we really like!

The Roku Streaming Stick+ is absolutely amazing. It's portable and connects immediately. It also can pick up 4K if you have a TV that handles that. You can download almost any app you want on there and connect them. The best part is it will connect the Roku remote to control your TV so you will only use one remote. Highly recommend.

I love this product. There are so many options that you will never run out of things to watch. It is great for those with a wide range of viewing interests. You won't be sorry with this purchase. It was easy to set up and I am not at all tech-savy. Great buy at a really great price.

IMO, this is the 2nd best streamer on the market, with Apple TV 4k being #1...but that costs 3x as much! For the price, there's no beating this. Streaming quality is good, remote with TV controls is great. Super convenient to travel with too. We've used it at hotels many times to play purchased kids' content.

When several services decided that my smart tv was no longer being supported I was forced to buy a streaming device. I'm glad that I chose the Roku 4K with remote. It was extremely easy to setup and log in to the services. The remote works great and the picture quality on my 1080p tv is outstanding!

I have and Apple TV and my Sony TV is also an Android TV with many built in apps. I tend to use the Roku most of the time because it is just that much easier. If you have it plugged in to a wall socket, it is pretty much always on. No waiting when you need to use it. The menu is fast and easy and the picture is great. The Sony’s TV apps work fine most of the time but sometimes, especially the Amazon app, they are buggy and get stuck. Never had a single problem with Roku and I’ve used the older stick as well.

This came in real handy. the voice thing is very useful. It can go between apps, pause videos, or go to different apps. It is very fast! It also has shortcuts like the apps on the front and the side buttons which are very easy to click. Highly recommend to anyone.
