These ear buds are junk, they claim 8 hours of music play. Since I bought them just before the 4th hour I have less then 10 percent of battery life. JUNK!!

I can admit the sound is really good. Love how long they hold a charge. But for how much these buds cost I’m gonna need them to find a way for them stay in a persons ear. Changed ear piece sizes and it makes no difference. As soon as I start sweating heavily they start falling out. Very irritating when I’m in the middle of a workout to have to push bud back in my ear constantly before it falls out. Should have just got the regular headphones

Good sound for an earbud, pretty much it.

These buds have potential as a basic set of in-home entertainment earbuds, but endded up having more cons than pros for me. Starting with the positive, a main pro is its pretty good sound at this price in the earbud category. Its not going to rival even a decent pair of cans, but for listening to TV, Music, or even basic gaming at home, these arent bad. Decent punchy bass for action, fairly clear mids and highs. Nothing that’ll blow you away, and not really what I would use for getting lost in Tchaikovsky, but also noticibly better than buds at or below they’re price point. Connecting to devices also generally works well and goes without a hitch. That being said, there are lots of cons. The main 2 for me are battery life and the case. The battery life for these is about 5 hours with my iphone and about 3 hours with my computer. Not much. I’m currently trying to see what different set of buds I want now to use while these are charging, so, yeah. Also, the case is verrry annoying. It tries overly hard to snap shut at all times just because of how slippery and awkward the design is. You’ll be trying to get them out one late night in the living room and… SNAP! Over and over again, making noise that’s sure to wake your significant other and children up. Also, no wireless charging, which, i get these aren’t $200 bucks, but if I can buy a charging puck for 5 bucks, the tech can’t be that exspensive to add and really would have given a reason for the cheapo case. Not a big gripe unless your environment is set up to do it, really makes things easier. Also notable, the buds do stick out a bit and have a physical button on them, so you wont be able to set your head on its side while wearing them, such as on a pillow. They are also pretty susceptible to interference and easy signal blocking. And, a personal gripe, they don’t tend to stay in my ear very well while doing anything of basic activity, we’re talking even just washing the car. That’s more of a problem with my ear I suppose, but seems a pretty common gripe, so just go in knowing that. So, yeah, 3 out of 5 from me.

Fresh new look, but that’s it. Noise canceling poor

I have both the Apple AirPod Pro and this item. The beats fit my ear better and in my opinion look better in ear..but that’s the only thing positive. The noise cancellation is almost nonexistent- including transparency mode. I could barely hear any difference between noise canceling, transparency and ‘off’ when flipping back and forth through them. It’s a fresh new look, but AirPod Pros are still the superior product and worth paying a bit more for. I was really wanting to like the Beats but just can’t recommend these over the AirPod Pros.

    Surprisingly good for Android

The Beats Studio Buds proved to be tough to put a number on for this review. I ended up going with 4 stars, but from some angles these are 5 star wireless buds and others they are 2 or 3 stars. In the end, I ended up going with my surprise factor with how well designed the experience is for android and the overall sound of the buds vs some of the frustrations I have with them. And to be fair, most of the frustration is because they are ALMOST where they need to be. I was really excited for the noise canceling on these and that was just a huge disappointment. TL;dr: These work surprisingly well with both Android and iOS. Sound quality is great as long as you like the "Beats" sound since there's no EQ adjustment. Only average noise isolation and disappointing active noise cancelation. No in-ear detection is really disappointing. Fantastic battery life and the impressive sound quality keep these in the 4 star range, though. Just don't buy them expecting to use the noise canceling for travel. 1) Unboxing and pairing/use: really, really easy to get these paired up with my Note 20 Ultra. Flipped the top open, and the easy pairing option appears on my screen in Android and prompts me to download the Beats app for more advanced setup. Kinda shocking, really. They were just as easy to pair as some earbuds I recently reviewed which were made specificially for Android phones! I did not think this was gonna be possible for an Apple owned brand! The downside is they do not support handsfree google assistant. This isn't a huge deal as often my phone will pick up the wake words even from my pocket but this was a really nice feature of other earbuds I've reviewed recently. Because they were already paired with my android phone, I can't speak to the "fresh" pairing experience with my work iPhone - I had to press the button on the case to get them to pair, but it wasn't troublesome. They do support handsfree Siri. The fact that the Beats Studio buds don't support in-ear detection was shocking and really a bummer. At this price that feature should be mandatory. 2) Sound quality: These have the "signature" Beats sound bred into them and there are no EQ options in the app. Basically the classic V EQ from what I can tell, lots of bass, lots of treble, light midrange. Since that's the EQ most people probably would choose on their own for modern music, it's probably fine. Still, I'd prefer a choice for earbuds that cost this much money. Given that limitation these sounded very good. No distortion at all at normal listening levels with a wide variety of music. My demo track for acoustic music is Avett Brothers - Shame and I was really impressed with the amount of bass the Beats have without being too " bass boosty." (that's a technical term I just made up). They also brought out some upper midrange qualities that I hadn't noticed with other earbuds I've used recently. Top marks on sound, and I'm kinda shocked to say that I really, really liked the Beats for this. 3) Noise canceling/travel qualities: Basically non-existent noise canceling or even passive noise reduction. I would not purchase these solely for travel use. I tested these in a room with a window air conditioner and next to a server rack and they DO cancel out some of that fan noise but not enough to purchase these solely to use for this purpose. They also don't perfectly seal your ear canals so they don't passively reduce noise very well. Just not very good for this purpose. The transparency mode also doesn't seem to work very well. Just not worth the hit to battery life to use these features at all. On the flip side, the openness contributes to the sound quality and makes them pretty well suited for using in a busy/noisy environment where you need to hear what's going on around you. Sitting in an office, using the buds to listen to music, you get some benefit from the noise canceling while also not completely isolating yourself. 4) Battery life: Outstanding. The advertised 8 hours (with ANC off) is a full work day of audio without having to stick them in the charging case. Really impressed with the battery life - I do not have any other wireless earbuds that can make it through an entire day. I did not push these to the 8 hour mark but after 4 hours with noise canceling off (and about 30-45 minutes with noise canceling on) I was sitting at a little less than half charge when listening to audiobooks and music.

I have used my beats primarily during landscaping work for two years and 4 months and last week I placed the ear buds in my shirt pocket after cutting the grass. I forgot they were there and placed clothes in washer and dryer. I reached for the case today and air pods were not in the case. I remembered I placed in shirt pocket so I got my shirt from my drawer and had no hopes of them working but they work as good as new! OMG what a product. I'm convinced this is a superior product for only $100 bucks, you can't do better. This is why I'm doing this review. They deserve good business after their product survived being washed and then being dried in the dryer.
