Ok, but not very mobile- freindly

It protects my laptop should it have a bumpy ride during transport. However, I was hoping for something that also helped with mobility in ways that allowed ease in juggling my numerous items I carry. My laptop is really to heavy for the flimsy strap they provide. I am thinking of making what I need out of some old blue Jeans.
