Okay, either Best Buy's system is buggy or they censored my first critique. This movie is garbage. So much so that I came back a second time to make sure others wouldn't make the mistake of purchasing this movie! This is movie is almost worth renting to shut off the volume and add your own soundtrack. The plot is so ridiculous that I couldn't explain how bad of a story construction this is without a thesis or maybe even a dissertation. Even the fight scenes are confused as all hell. The first fight scene are Samurai warriors armed with mini-guns...are you kidding me? Mini-guns. The storyline features lame and expected metaphors, and they censor things that don't need to be censored! An example--the dancing was supposedly sexy, erotic and oh, fully clothed. It was completely censored...I can watch dirtier dancing at a ballet. How do I know this? Because I can see ballerinas dancing very sensually onstage with very form fitting clothing. Who knows that she was even dancing in this movie...It's ridiculous, especially since this is supposed to be the jump off point for plot movement. The plot progression is all them overcoming more physical obstacles in parallel to their plight---but if you can't see the pier in the first place, who cares if you jump right into the water? Don't buy this, just rent it and turn down the volume. Make up your own. It's like an old Godzilla movie or Robot Monster....so bad that it's good...if you turn it off.

I saw Sucker Punch on the Ultra Screen in Elgin over Spring Break

Be cautious about Warner Brothers movies that include a digital copy -- they EXPIRE quickly, and it is not obvious on the packaging. I had purchased Inception from T***** on June 12, 2011 for $29.99. When I attempted to redeem the digital copy, I found it had expired on May 6, 2011 -- over a month before I had purchased it. I contacted Warner Brothers about what had happened, and the representative told me there was nothing I could do because they adequately posted the expiration date on the DVD insert, the redemption Web site, and on the box. Two of those methods are moot because you have to open the box before finding out the information. The expiration date is on the back of the DVD in fine print, meanwhile the "+ digital copy" is in very large print on the front of the box. How many times do you look at the back of a movie before buying it? So obviously Warner Brothers wasn't helpful, and T***** wouldn't take the movie back even though some of the "product" had expired before purchase because I had opened it. I have unsuccessfully tried to resolve this with the corporations involved, so I'm warning the public directly now to prevent it from happening to other consumers.

Wow! What a waste of time. I rented this from a local redbox and still feel that I was ripped off for a $1.05. There is no plot. There is nothing to keep you on the edge of your seat. The action doesn't last much longer than the clips you see on the trailers. As far as the acting? Well........ It's a bunch of younger girls with eating disorders that are doubling their body weight with makeup. They can't even make different facial expressions because of it. One minute they are fighting samurai with chain guns, the next minute they're crying. One minute they're fighting dragons, the next minute they're crying. The graphics are good when they are computer generated. It's not a confusing movie, it's just a horrible movie. Read the real critic reviews if you don't believe me, but I highly recommend you rent before you buy. Save that $20 dollars for 2 gallons of gas or something. The music was pretty good, and that is honestly the only semi pleasant aspect I found in Sucker Punch. You'll be wishing you had a lobotomy by the end!

Most of the times I always read the 1 star reviews before buying a movie or item but I did not on this one. Big mistake, this movie was terrible and the sound effects and blue ray quality was even worse. Fake fighting parts was terrible and the girls dancing that they never showed was mindless. What kind of writor would put dancing all the way through a movie but you never see the person dance. And what does dancing have to do with fighting??? When the girls dance they fall into a deep dream and believe that they are fighting in the army, flying a plain, or fighting big monsters. Crazy!! Terrible!! Do not be a Sucker

I can't believe Netflix suggested I watch that garbage. I pretty much understood the plot, but MAN what kind of drugs were these girls given in that assylum to have a double trip. I think all LCD user just died of envy. Anyway the movie seemed like a pathetic attempt to create an anime type movie for boys with a pretencious plot and some serious issues. Result - a confusing mulch of constant CGI with blatant use of women as se*x objects. Yes, both in the plot and in the movie. Come on, why whould a main character always be wearing a japanese sailor school unifrom??? I'm soo glad I didn't go to the movie theater.

How is this movie averaging a 4/5 with 15 reviews? This movie is absolutely terrible. The acting is terrible, the plot is terrible, the premise is terrible. Definitely one of the worst movies ever made. Check out its score on rottentomatoes.
