I just love the Steel books. I always buy them over the cheap editions if I get the chance. Why? They hold up better. And they look better. Seriously this movie looks amazing in 4K. You need a HDMI 2.0a cable (if you want the HDR), Samsung UBD-K8500 4K Blu Ray Player (or similar Samsung UBD-KM85c will work too), and then a great 4K TV. I suggest going for OLED if you can afford it but if not LED. Preferably LG, SONY, or SAMSUNG (in that order too because LG's webOS software is second to none and their panels are amazing for gamers) And then you will see this movie in all it's hi-def glory! The movie is not the best super hero movie of the year (2016). That would go to DeadPool or even Civil War. But its pretty slick. Has a decent story. Great effects. And a pretty awesome soundtrack. You won't be disappointed in buying if you're a fan of DC.

It's a fun movie about weird characters played top-notch actors. It's a movie that fully embraces the look and feel of a superhero comic-book. And the soundtrack's great. What more do you want? I've seen this movie three times by now and I've enjoyed it all three times. In fact, it's gotten better with each viewing. What stands out to me on my latest viewing is that Will Smith, Margot Robbie, and the rest are truly talented performers. Warner/DC have got themselves a remarkable squad here and I hope they get to return plenty of times in the future. If I had to be fair and complain about one thing about the film, it's that the action scenes are just okay standard action-movie quality - which is fine - but it's not on the same level as the gorgeously shot and exquisitely choreographed Zack Snyder-style we've seen in the other DC movies.

A must have in 4k, the visuals are amazing, a must buy!

A few weeks ago I finally got around to watching Batman v Superman. Then I listed it on ebay. I didn't think it was worth keeping. After that experience, I didn't know what to expect from this movie, but I had heard good things, and it was on sale. I'm glad I bought it. It's a great movie. The actors do a great job in their roles, the plot is good, and the special effects were great. I'm not a comics enthusiast, so I can't speak to the "accuracy" of the characters, but I liked them. I even liked the weird version of Joker more than I thought I would. The only parts I didn't like were the occasional reminders of Batman v Superman (including Batman's very out-of-character act of beating someone down in front of their child), and how terribly disappointing it was. That awful movie aside, this is a great movie, and well worth watching.

As far as the specs on the quality of the movie there is nothing short of great features, resolution, and audio. The movie could have been much better. The acting from Harley Quinn was fantastic and the Joker was a different spin from what I personally expected. He seemed a little too over the top in the acting not that it was bad but too much. One other thing, Batman appears here and there and it seems it was Ben Affleck because that seemed like one of the most overweight Batmans ever. Ben Affleck does not look like a Batman. And he is disgracing the new upcoming movie again by playing Batman. We understand he likes comics but he does NOT look like the characters he has attempted to play.

The joker is back in a crazy movie with super villains

For those that really enjoy movies you want the 3D or 4k versions, I purchased the 3D version which came with the 3D Blu ray, Blu ray and a digital copy for ultra violet ONLY (NO iTunes) and NO DVD, as well as the regular plastic case. For nearly $30 you would expect a steelcase and a full compliment of disks including a DVD. It was also disappointing that the publisher couldn't strike a deal with Apple to include a iTunes Digital Copy with this package. As for the movie itself, it has a wonderful soundtrack that really mixes well with the action however there are some upsetting character issues if you are a big fan of the DC universe, especially if you watch shows like Arrow, Gotham, DCs Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, and Flash, as the studio took a few liberties such as casting a completely different actress to play the charecter of Amanda Waller and the same went for Deadshot, and Flash. To me this would have been a easy casting option, just get the actors that play the characters in the TV series to play the characters in the movie, they have proven that they can play the part and people are used to them, especially the less than 45 second one liner from the Flash in the movie, Grant G. could have easily made time to do that one line scene, but the casting director instead picked a different actor. Some can be understood, such as Ben A. being cast as Batman, as in the TV show Bruce Waynes character is still a young man, so this is not a far stretch and it works well as Ben played the part of Batman in the new Superman V. Batman movie, This and several other items really down turn the film, the saving graces are Harley Q., and the Joker, as they really pull out all the stops to make the movie really pop. As for the story-line, its a pretty standard one that won't pull any big surprises on you so enjoy the special effects and the soundtrack because the story is pretty plain. If they kept with the same actors and actresses as the TV show, and put a bit more thought into the story-line then it would rate higher but as it is this is a average movie, nothing terrible but nothing that will blow you away either. It is good for a one time view or a rental but i am a bit upset at the dollar per entertainment cost of it, i think i would have been better off renting the movie as i watched it once at the theater, and once when i purchased it and now it sits on my shelf with thousands of other movies. Saw this movie in theaters and it was better attempt to emulate what Marvel Studios has done with their superhero films. Over all much better than Batman v Superman with more humor and better on screen chemistry of the main characters. Video wise, this movie presentation is really good and shows up well on my 82 inch HDTV. The real gem is the sound. Great dynamics in action sequences and the choice of pop music shines nicely. A good sound system will sound great and a great one will sound spectacular. Some of the film itself does suffer from slow plot points and redundancy but over all a good film. It is also semi-family friendly and I would recommend it for at least age 10, then up.
