It mostly works

The pivoting base doesn't lock. It was cheap so my expectations were fairly low. I use it regularly despite owning a tripod. This is easier to setup on the fly.

Handy for filming but..

I recommend a better tripod that can hold your smartphone way better? I had mine fell out. There are ways to make it work. I never thought of adding a rubber band to hold the top clip to make it stay upward when filming. It's a handy tripod for Skateboarding though!
