Tripod legs are very light weight. The do not hold position well and the locking mechanism to keep them extended isn't worth the name. I went out and got a decent stand that uses tension locks on each joint and I will never use this again.

I actually use this for my small projector. I took off the black cover that keeps the legs even and from going out any further, adding a washer to replace it. On the table top, the projector would topple over when pointing up. Now with that black piece off, the legs can go out further for better tabletop stability. But, beware it can be a pain when the legs are all the way extended. Nothing a bit of practice can’t fix.

It's an average tripod. OK for the price. Not incredibly solid and sturdy, but does the job. I also found that when my camera was positioned and tightened in place, the camera would settle a little from the original position. So I had to learn to set the position above where I wanted it, making the process not incredibly accurate.
