Kinda flimsy and bad "folding" design. Spend a little more and get something better!

My Canon camera was too heavy for this tripod. If it would've held, it would've worked just fine.

Bought the tripod to hold my projector. Worked fine, but then one of the leg locking mechanism broke and now the tripod can't stand anymore. This happened after the 3rd use. Would not recommend to anyone. Lucky my projector didn't break.

Poor quality all around but still somewhat usable

I purchased this tripod at Best Buy a couple of years ago. It is still usable today and is attached to the tripod carrier of my camera backpack, however I do not use it anymore except in rare circumstances. On the positive side of things: it is very light, compact, and can be convenient for certain situations where carrying around a better tripod would be a pain. It does its job as a tripod. The bad side is pretty long. It is very cheaply made. After a few months, the knob that turns the camera mount screw fell off and I had to epoxy it back together. There is no way to level the camera; the top part only has vertical and horizontal click-lock positions. The legs can be hard to deploy correctly (they use some sort of rotation-lock mechanism that is difficult to understand at first) and they are extremely flimsy and wobbly. Wind and uneven ground are this tripod's mortal enemies. The leg issues can be somewhat worked around if you're not using the full tripod height by pulling the legs out all the way, then collapsing the BOTTOM segments which are the weakest first. It is also annoying that the mount screw isn't easily accessible without switching the mount to a vertical position; you have to screw the camera in sideways and there is no quick-release plate and this seems strange if you've used even a basic "standard" tripod with QR plate before. Others have reported problems with the top plate snapping; I'm gentle with it and haven't had such a problem. I have used this tripod to capture some good photos and video, so it's not completely useless. I would, however, strongly recommend investing some more money in anything higher up. Sunpak's PlatinumPlus 5858D tripod costs about $30 instead of about $16, but it is drastically better in several respects: a lot more stability, better build quality, strong legs that deploy easily and can be leveled, a quick-release plate that can also be leveled, a bubble level in the QR plate area, and a foam grip for comfortable use in cold weather. The 5858D is very similar to (and appears to be based on the same design as) a Targus tripod I've had for seven years that, while also a cheaply made $30 tripod, has never once broken on me or disappointed me on uneven ground and in light winds. If you're so broke that you must get this tripod or nothing at all, remember to be very gentle with it and don't expect much out of it. It will break on you sooner or later. If you can afford to spend $30 on a tripod, please do not buy this one.

I returned this tripod because it did NOT give me the control I want especially when recording sports video. I think I returned this one the same day for a pistol grip. I didn't like that one either and returned it for one that has a squeeze trigger which locks the position when you let go of it. Much better.

Sadly this tripod was not a good purchase. The legs get stuck when trying to extend or reduce them. In trying to have three even legs for a table top application it was difficult getting all three legs even.

I bought this to take on a trip to use as a cheap tripod that it is. But this is so cheap it should be at dollar store and not Best Buy. I was gone too long to be able to return it. I should have opened a box and tried it in the store. Terrible

The old phrase "you get what you pay for" comes to mind. It's a very inexpensive tripod, but I took it out of the box and the bottom part of one leg fell off before I could even use it once. Horrible quality.

This is great for a very light weight camera, the rods when fully extended are to weak, for a full sized camera like a DSLR. I had to return this item I was afraid my camera would fall and break.

Curbside - is a joke. You are required to go in the store where you must stand in line where the process is longer.
