Inexpensive, but a little flimsy... i will use it more as a table tripod, where its shorter and more stable.

Exactly what I needed for my trip through the west: I wanted a tripod, but it had to be small enough to fit in my luggage and easy to handle. Plus, I wanted it to be 'independent' - I had seen some small ones that you could rest on something, but that would not fit my purpose. This worked great.

I purchased this for 20x70 binoculars. It is fine for casual use but not for anything near its max weight. However, the binoculars I use on it are heavier on one side. If you use something with a better center of gravity, I'm sure this tripod would be perfect.

I'm sure this tripod is great with point and shoot cameras or lighter entry level DSLR's. It's light weight and easy to use. The only problem is I own a full frame DSLR. I'm sure the camera exceeds the weight recommendations which then necessitates a remote shutter release to avoid blurry shots. At just over $30 it makes a great backup tripod.

Overall pretty good, but a little wobbly up top when I attach a work light too it instead of the camera. Work light is still within weight recommendations and only slightly heavier than the camera, but the shape I think throws it off a little
