Ok for phone or gopro, but why?

I don't trust it to hold a dslr/lens combo. It is light and compact and would be ok for for phones with a joby mount. The phone it comes with is the generic one that clamps your phone away too tight for my comfort. It wobbles and is not very sturdy but hanging camera bag from middle does help anchor but the ball head system is very flimsy and doesn't inspire much confidence. I think I there are better offerings for just a bit more money.
